Kubuntu 12.04 wont start EVE

i have installed Wine and all nececerry vcrun's and done a full update to everything.
EVE installs perfectly and the launcher and everything is working great. then i press play and the loading screen for Inferno comes, then it dissapears and eve doesnt start.
ive tried everything from re install of wine, Directx, eve etc. but everything i do sends me back to square one, would love to give you an error dump, but there are no error dumps to copy from.

i really hope someone has an ace up their sleeve for this one.

You'll need to set the overrides to builtin, as accordingly to http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=25544

I've set the overrides as indicated for Ubuntu 12.04, but mine still crashes after the splash screen just as Lim said hers does. I'm using Wine 1.5.4. Any other suggestions?
