I notice there are two tech two battle cruisers available for each faction, but it disappoints me deeply that both use the cyclone frame work. I think a lot of Hurricane fans will agree with me that we'd like to see our favorite ship used at some point as a tech 2 ship. Perhaps as art is being updated one of the existing command ships could get put into the hurricane body, or perhaps an entirely new tech 2 hurricane could be deployed. I hope I'll at least find out if other people had the same feelings I did, the popularity of the cane is well known and I feel any new ship made as a tech 2 variety of it would be popular with squad commanders as myself.

It's been suggested. Many, many times. While I don't think anyone would horribly mind CCP finding a new role (probably exploration-related) for T2 ships based on tier 2 BC hulls, I doubt I'm alone in saying that if you dare touch my Sleipnir (or Abso, or NH, couldn't care less about the Astarte) I hunt you down and kill you.

All I'm saying is, I don't care how powerful it is, I just think have -two- tech two battlecruisers of the same ship is a waste. Why can't one simply be one of the two others? The hurricane will always be in my fleet but I'd find it more useful later on if I could upgrade it. No navy version, no advanced version. Could be cool.

we all love new ships, but its probably too big effort to CCP to make them for us...
we already have dps and fleet bonuses command ships; 2nd dps ship would be terrible idea, but.... mayby dedicated ewar (and this should ignite a carebear flame looking for cheap ship able to replace tech3 raters)

Reusing a model in existence with slightly different colors I don't consider to be "a big effort." Sure it takes a little time but I think swapping out the command ship we have now for the hurricane so both the cyclone and the hurricane are represented would be a good idea. If they made an entirely new ship the big question is what role it would play different to the ones they have now, but yeah, not really concerned about that. As long as they put the hurricane into a tech 2 ship, i'm sure prices of hurricanes would go up due to the invention rush to make it <3

See above. Hunt and kill etc.

I frankly don't see why people are such fans of the tier 2 hulls in the first place. Of the lot, only the Myrmidon holds my interest visually compared to its tier 1 counterpart. All these calls for a T2 Drake or Hurricane just confuse me. I mean -- and let's be honest here -- have you ever gotten a good look at a Claymore or a Sleipnir? Because they are damn fine looking ships. And the 'cane really... Isn't. Double down all of the above for Vulture/Nighthawk/Drake.

Obviously Zhilia hasn't ever fantasized about commanding an imperial star destroyers xD Which is the closest you can get to the proper shape. Everything about it speaks a command ship, which is probably why it was made into a battle cruiser so it can equip warfare links.

The Hurricane may be used as a PVP ship and a ratting tank, but I believe it has a real possibility of being one badass T2 command ship.

And it has a big light on the front. Winning!

So long as they give the model a graphical update(think like the new SB) then why not? If nothing else it would generate massive amounts of tears from EFT warriors and everyone who believes it's not needed...
