Chribba has no respect for anyone

Recently Chribba was granted a station in HED-GP to use as a freeport. For the best part of the last few years this station has been named Hatuks Homestead in recognition of a deceased player from the corp that built the station.

Instead of honouring this name Chribba has changed the name to advertise himself.

This proves once again that Chribba has no respect for the eve community he pretends to support and care about, it's all about his E-peen.

I don't even know the person in question.

How is it disrespectful to me?

What is disrespectful, however, is the original poster deciding what I should be offended by.

For shame!

Sorry, not sure if this is a stupidly late April Fool's joke thingy, or if you are both a bit sub-par in the intellect department.

Even if it is/was about his e-peen he still has done a shitload more for the community as a whole then anyone else.Anyone who thinks they or another person thinks of others before themselves is either naive or a complete hypocrit.

I really just don't care to be honest.

It's terrible that someone has died, but millions of African babies have died as well in the last few years. So station for them.

If the previous owners are annoyed at the rename they can just take it back.

When you bring the real world into make believe regardless of intentions you get this kind of thing.

There have been several of such stations named in honor of players that passed away. Many of those have been renamed now, yet I don't see you cry foul for those.

Life goes on, as it always does, people are born, people live and ultimatly they pass on. We honor them, in whatever way we find appropriate, but never should our mourning last a lifetimes, lest we forget how to live.

As you mention, this station has carried it's name for years, and while a life lost is a terrible thing, isn't it time to move on? Else, all stations in nullsec will ultimatly bear the names of the dead, changing nullsec into a collection of digital tombs if we would never rename a station after a deceased got a station named in their honor.

Chribba should rename the station back to its original name, or you should take it off him

Chribba got another station?

Also Chribba is the holy patron saint of Veldspar!

Now, more than ever, we need a dislike button.

If they wanted the station name to remain unchanged, they would not or SHOULD NOT have given it to him.

A gift given is always forfeit.

But then with people in this Age of Self-Entitlement, I guess the rules of gift giving and receiving must now be changed to accomodate the fragile, delicate Egos of the dimwitted.

Hatuk was a hell of a nice guy, liked his mining and his hulks....AAA said they would keep him on in honor, but if u check I think he's in a nOOb corp now, so does that mean we should all hate AAA?

Not sure what the 'right' answer is, but if this is true, it does seem rather out of character for the C-man

Cribba respects the EVE community in the best possible way.

Helping to sell advanced super weapons to everyone who has the ISK for it no matter how they intend to use it. Promoting gambling where in he profits and the majority looses money. A cutthroat advertisement of himself and his cult of personality made by wiping his feet on a virtual grave stone.

This is a man that gets EVE.

Was keeping the name part of the deal?

Otherwise, I read this as someone naming the station, no longer wanting it and hawking it to Chribba else because it was too much of a bother… and somehow Chribba is the one who lacks respect…? Ugh

I'm sure the deceased is rolling in their grave because a space station in the game EVE Online is not named after them.

Frankly, if someone did this after I died I would probably die again of embarrassment.

Yeah it is like giving a way a gravestone and then being mad someone made it into a parking lot.

Or some better, more thought-out analogy.
