War Dec Query.

Scenario

A Corp has been accepted into an alliance with no active Wars or Wardecs.

Application is accepted and in the meantime the Corp receives a Wardec.

The corp will be in the alliance 10 hours before the war becomes active due to the 24 hour wait.

My question is does the alliance inherit the declaration for war or do they only goto war once it becomes active?

So if the corp is removed prior to the war becoming active, does that remove the alliances involvement?

My understanding is the Alliance only inherits the war if it is active but not the declaration, is this correct?

The alliance member corps get a 24h grace period. The status of the war does not matter. That is subject to change with the next patch.

If you take all the sand out of the box, only the cat poo will remain.

Which is in about three days, and they've said the corp that is wardecced will remain wardecced upon leaving alliances now.

Also a corp that has an active war CAN'T join any alliance after the patch to prevent exploit of using corp vs alliance (payment of war bill is different - more member, more ISK).

So if your corp has a war it can't join, it has to wait till the war is over.
