The biggest joke on this forum is your posting. Go and listen to the Keynote from Fanfest and hear from the horse's mouth the explanations for why things have occurred the way they have. CCP used the profits from Eve Online to make another 2 games at the height of a financial crisis and for those games attempted to build their own engine. The profits from Eve Online were not big enough to sustain the development of 3 different games. The profits from Eve Online are well and truly big enough to support Eve Online.

They are completely different games, I have enjoyed them both a lot, now I just play EVE but that does not mean I would not be interested in learning more about this Titan thing.

In same vain, I also enjoy Angry Birds Cool

Now if EVE had a sandbox contender, we all wait, we might get a good fanboy fight going.

That's EVE in a nutshell. because the rest of your corp is offline tonight and you're solo PVPing, so you're just picking off the badgers, collecting the loots, and repeating.

Personally I find people who think Eve is a "joke," fall into 2 categories; they either dont have enough information to form an objective opinion of the game, and are merely ignorant. Or the game doesnt match their tastes, and instead of being adult about the situation, and just respecting it as another gaming taste/genre, they rather just bash the game, like a idiot.

The point was more about "just because everybody does something it doesn't mean it's rigth" than "EVE good, WoW bad".

i played Wow for almost 6yrs, i thought it was good.....how wrong i was it was soooooooo boringly mind numbing and very repetative, go kil this 10 times get 10 skins and run like a tw@ back here with them, if you did not have the best gear you got left out of all the raids, nobody wanted to help anyone all they wanted to do was b i t c h and whine about their "gear score".

then i found eve purely by accident, and decided to give it a go as i was after something more mentally challenging, got to say this is the only game i play now on the pc, am still very green at it and still ask lame questions but i would never go back to the likes of wow.

Eve gets my vote any day of the week


is eve better than wow, debateable i think it all comes down to how many brain cells a person wants to use, am 52 this year wow was just too imature for me to continue playing, wow has a lot more people playing it than eve does but it does not mean its better. another one is everquest my m8 said that this was far better than wow i tried the free trial of that and thought it was rubbish.

After a few months doing missions (quests) in Eve you have the same feeling. Tools are different, terms are different, the result is more xp=+level=better quests for one and shoot red crosses is more standings= access to better missions but, you need more skills independent of the efforts you can put playing.

Process is different, result is the same. But it's some (all) people game, I don't know a single guy in Eve not killing rats at some point because eve is about isk.

Well, played my self wow since close beta to Lich King expansion but my objective was the euro/world first down, the unique titles and frames or legendary weapons.

Got bored of doing so because I've played it for far too long, not because the game is bad. If you or some one dares to say a 15million accounts/players game is bad there's a serious dysfunction somewhere. Wow is wow and is different of Eve it's not better it's not worst it's just different, and it's an awesome game.

Is Eve more challenging? -possibly or definitively, depends on what your fun playing is and what objectives you target.

Eve has numerous opportunities of fun doing stuff but you should be aware of this important stuff: it's a player driven content
This means there are few to almost none rule against the dude deciding to bully you as much as he wants.
This also mean most of Eve content if not all at some point is inaccessible if you don't want to join corporations and play the way you're told to.

Yes Eve can be awesome, and for me it is, but find what sticks to your objective in game and the right people to achieve this might be the greatest challenge of all.
