hi im considering purchasing a carrier for pos repping when i get attacked in my wh and was wondering which is best for rr'ing im think either the nidhoggur or the archon but thats just a guess

Just make sure you bring along lots of cap modules, a triage mod... and a good book!

Use either a nidhoggur or a thanatos for repping in WH's, if its mostly for POS repping. Reason is that you need to have at least a 27km range on shield reps to rep the POS itself, and its really nice to not have to move to rep incapped mods. Therefore, it makes more sense to use the carriers that are bonused towards rep range for both shield and armor. The archon can never rep POS shields, unless you are using a small POS. And a chimera would have to move around unless you clump all your POS mods (not a good idea).

For that, the nidhoggur gets bonuses to RR amount, and 2 RR on a nid with carrier 5 is almost the same as 3 on another carrier. That being said... you'll be hard pressed to get the cap to run those on a nidhoggur, because its cap is horrible. If you can guarantee that no one is going to be bothering you for a while, you can go all cap mods and RR with triage to make things nice and quick. Or you can park an orca/another carrier next to it so that way it can refit if trouble arrives. The thanatos has better cap... but its up to you to decide if the extra RR amount is worth it on the nidhoggur.

nidhogir can work solo, no need to make cap chain like chimeras (the other shield rep carrier)

It's either thanny or niddy and guess which of those sees more use outside of POS repping, hence 90% rep the POS with thanny.
Also you need a hull repper for incapacitated modules as well which not surprisingly fits better in thanny then niddy.

Also chimera has no bonus for repping power so it's just as "useless" as thanny for POS repping but at least thanny can rep armour as well.

Niches of the carriers:
Archon: Best armor tank, used in most fleet work
Chimera: Best shield tank, used if you feel you must run a shield fleet
Thanatos: Best DPS, used for PvE or structure bashing (or in fleets if you can't fly/don't have an Archon)
Nidhogir: Best reps, used for repping stuff

Wanted a hauler for null to ship my stuff around close to the front, didn't thought Chimaera was that bad.

Well at least can haul some stuff :p

problem is the arcon is only really good 4 armor repping and i want one thats good 4 bothCool

I would agree with this statement if you were planning on using it for PvE or PvP uses. However, for quickly repping POS shields, it doesn't work because it doesn't have the range. Hence why it isn't recommended in this thread.

Just use Thanny. Easier to use, better cap, and also useful for carebearing purposes. Why get another carrier just for POS repping when there isn't much benefit over a Thanny anyway.

I like the Niddy because it looks cool as hell. Of course the Archon is almost infinitely better at PVP, but you can't really rep a POS with it.
