Concorded during War

OK ive held off positng here in hopes that the petition would be answered before hand, Sad to say 4 days later and no word from a gm\. Any who, If anyone has had this happened or explain to me what happened cause i think its a glitch/bug/exploit. Which i have already put a bug report in Anyway.


on 05/10/2012 at 1:39 (eve time) our war went live as shown in the SS below

2 Minutes after the war started I confirmed that it was active on the corp tab And warped to belt and engaged a hulk

After which concord came and blew up my tengu. Now heres where it gets wierd First off there was no concord warning and i dont have that disabled( dont even know if you can now) The player in question has not left corp for the past week. Also when i go to search there corp under other wars tab they do not show up ( and i mean it says they dont exist when i can easily autolink the corp.), but when i show my own corps name it says we are not in any war when our wars tab says we are.


Now i am sure the war was active i am also sure thatt the war was in on the right corp.

Yes, it's still possible to disable the GCC warning. That capability will always exist.

Did he have a red star in the local list, showing him as a WT? Was he flashy red on your overview? Had you just joined your own corp? The system can be pretty weird about sudden changes. You would do well to ALWAYS double check things like that before firing. Also, initiate a session change (dock/undock) after the war goes live to ensure your overview is as accurate as possible.

Petitions are incredibly slow right now. I have one that's two weeks old and hasn't been answer yet. I'm just waiting patiently while they sort through the mess from Burn Jita.

He was showing red in local and in overview and no i had been in corp a day or so before we even put the vote in Also i did iniated session change the toon was logged out 1 jump out on gate i logged him in invited to fleet with booster then jumped into system with wt. Also i just tested trying to fire at my own alt and got a concord warning and i havent altered any settings since this happened.

Did you have a session timer in between the war going live and shooting the target??

Pretty sure you always have to press enter due to the warning when initiating concord action, and there is no way around that.

@ OP: If there is no answer yet there is still hope they are investigating.

This to has happened to me OP. The war was active for several minutes while i was trailing a war target hyperion on AP in my vaga. When jumped through the next gate i went in for the tackle and was concorded when I aggresed. Also i did not have a concord warning pop up, and am pretty sure you can't disable it. The war was active according to the corp board. I petitioned this and did NOT get my ship back. i'll post screen shots when and if i can

in the overview you can see the hyperion, and the can where my wreck was and salvaged.

You can't suppress the concord warning, at least according to CCP.

However, it seems to be that agressing a target within a few minutes after a war is scheduled to start might be a bit foolhardy. I'm well aware that it's an excellent tactic to catch your target off guard, but in this case it seems to have bitten you in the behind.

@AtvMX, I'm not entirely positive, but it appears the person you shot at (according to overview settings as well as the local window) was not a war target, but simply had terrible standing to you or your corporation. I'm going to venture a guess that that person left their corp while you were tailing them, and got the exact result they hoped for when you were concorded.

According to the toons corp history he did not leave that corp untill 04.24.12 ... but you are correct about the standings and overview.

The problem i have here is that i did NOT recieve a concord warning when engaging.

Thanks to all who have given input ao far thanks alot i am still watining on petition to be looked at. And in relation to the quote that is the same thing that has me stumped. He should have been a legal target, and recieved no concord warning.

I agree.

Either it's a valid target, or you should get a concord warning.

I imagine you'll be getting this kind of thing a whole lot more often as greyscale rolls out more patches related to crimewatch. Whenever changes regarding aggression happen bugs like this occur.

Going on day 6 now still no response to either petiton / bug report/ Forum post by ccp. This kinda customer service can really put a hampering on our relationship ccp FIX IT!

Im guessing it was some kind of lagg in crimewatch. Same thing happend on burn Jita when people were jumping from and to TIDI where the client had info that you could shoot and the server had info that you could not.

Concord warning is client side while concord is serverside, meaning your client thought you could shoot the guy but the server did not. This is why you did not get a warning. Now the question is why the server said no while the client said yes.

Burn jita had allot of petitions so you will just have to wait until they get back to regular work.

Lol you make many assumptions. And no i took all steps to assure that who i was firing on was a valid target , There was no concord popup, I am always careful with those, and the fact that that status of us not being able to shoot them without being concorded has continued the whole war till it was invalidated shows that this is a actual bug and not some mere pilot error as the above troll has suggested.

Still have yet to hear back on bug report, petition, or forum post by CCP.

thats funny but that hyperion shows as red and not as a wartarget
