Velator vs Oracle

Velator strikes back, this time vs Oracle (and rats).

The story is in no way as complicated as the Velator vs Tornado one and it took no prepping at all. I was solo roaming in a Drake when I first saw this guy in Oracle. I tried to gank him on gate but he was too far so I followed him a couple of jumps until I lost track of him. I went back to high sec and changed ship to Velator thinking that I could trick what it seemed to be a solo gate camper in a Prophecy. By the time I got back to low sec the Prophecy was gone, but I ran into the Oracle again and I followed him a couple of jumps until I saw him warping towards a planet (with 2 belts). I landed at 4800 meters from him in the belt and VOILA!

I forgot to start fraps before the fight began, sorry! Anyway, he had full shields when I tackled him and one of the rats in belt almost killed me lol.

Only part you had to post really. Because even my mom could have done it after that against a big ship with large guns and no drones.

Thank you mate, I didn't know about that rule so I removed the killmail links from the post. I believe the kill itself still holds some significance and is worth posting (bragging about) since it was a close one, not cos of the Oracle, but I was 1 shot away from being killed by rats. Anyway, the most important thing is that you can still have fun in EVE while soloing and you should never underestimate your opponent.

No worries and I agree its a fun kill and a good story, its just not an impressive one.

Its like shooting the side of a barn its not hard but it can still be fun shooting away at it.

I once got a Mega with a Firetail, not hard once you get under its guns. But still a load of fun I can relate to the feeling.

And there are people that whine self destruct needs to be changed...this a reason why it doesn't....to prove how ******* stupid you have to be to lose to a newb frig and not bother to set self destruct if a newb ship managed to tackle you, while under your guns. And unless that video was conpressed but the rotating target lock didn't look that fast...velator needs a nerf cause soon its going to be the next blob fleet Super Carrier drone ship

I lost the Velator vs a web fitted Naga :))

12:40:22 Combat Regulated Mega Ion Phase Cannon I belonging to Geoz Granger barely scratches you, causing 520.0 damage.

Instapoped me @ 2000 meters, but I actually received more damage than my ehp :))

I listened to it for a bit out of morbid curiosity, then I felt my brains running out of my ear. I managed to mute it before it killed me but now I cant count to any number higher than potato.

The Talos is going to be a problem tho, it has dronebay and I'm pretty sure 2 small ECM drones won't perma jamm him, but I'm gonna try anyway :))

But atm I'm messing around with Mammoth. Until now I killed some crappy mining barges and just now I finished a fight vs a Megathron and a Myrmidon (yes, both at the same time). I wasn't able to kill either of them cos they were mission fitted and my 40 dps + small neut wasn't enough to break their tanks, tho I killed a lot of drones :)) I shot at them for like 15 minutes, but I had to warp out when a Talos came to help them. I'll upload the video soon.
