It's time! It really is time for a new soundtrack

I like the style of the EVE soundtrack. It suits the whole space theme. But after what seems like the same music since 2005 surely we could get a new soundtrack :).

The hardstyle I listen to just doesn't suit EVE but I'm getting close to not being able to listen to the official sound track anymore.

Yeah, that would be nice but would it be in the same vein as the old one or a new style?

Supported. I wouldn't mind having a few tracks added at least. Just to give a bit more variation. I don't know how many times I've heard each of the current tracks, but the number of times is between "many times" and "a lot more times".

I never listen to music in any game I play, in some I want to hear ambient noise in case something is behind me, in Eve, well there really shouldn't be any sound outside the ship in space and I like to play a CD in the background. I suppose if you listen to it, it may be a nice to have but I wouldn't put it on my top 20 list of things for the Devs to do.

Oh I agree it's hardly a priority but this is the 'Features and Ideas discussion' and not the 'Prioritization and Product management discussion' Blink.

Also, writing code and writing music is a different skill set so I'm not sure it would impact the DEVs too much, although I concede it would require some resourcing.

Would just be nice to get an updated Official soundtrack one day...
