EVE Alliance Tournament Discussion

Solution is stupid simple. Give us, the players the tools to do this in game. Let us run a 64 man tournament The top 21 teams from each tournament go on to the Main Alliance tournament . Plus the past winners.

Then you can't blame yourself for not getting in due to sucking too much.

CCP, we should have a tourney every 3 months, to bet on, watch, battle in. Even if the prize is simply a slot in the main event 9 months down the road. Come on CCP. I know you have what it takes to give us an offical way to set up our own tourymwnt. Yes yes, players will whine about sandbox this sandbox that. But being able to set up a little arena is something they would figure out in real life. IT's not like the ship loses wouldn't be real.

And people would still be able to rig the matches, cheat, buy out other teams.

As long as you keep the spirit of EVE in it, some sort of official player run tournies, eve if it's just one dev, 5 players *CSM?* and the normal game world. IF you could choose the people to fly in the alliance tourney based off of skill, that would be most welcomed.

Plus once dust is big, and you've talked about tiing the two togther, a big match to watch once every 3 months would just be more impressive, instead of waiting for one part of the year. It might up how many players stick with eve. Also let us watch them on the CQ tv?

Not sure why people think big alliances should be guaranteed entry. Historically, with only a few exceptions, the big alliances have generally done quite poorly in the tournament. Turns out the alliance tournament requires a different skillset than aligning and pressing F1, who knew.
