So, i'm tryin to hit some juicy CNR's in my local area, just wondering if the mechanics are the same as i'd experienced in the not-so-distant past where when a player left a dec'd corp, they were vulnerable till 24hrs after they left.

Just double checking this info...if this is not the case, and pilots are instantly and completely safe the moment they drop corp, then there is no point in me trying to dec these CNR pilots.

When a person leaves corp you can't shoot them anymore there is no 24 hour window where you can shoot them and there never has been.

Umm either your a troll hoping to give bad info or something HAS changed.

If you are in a corp that gets war decced, you log in AFTER the war has begun(which takes 24 hours after said wardec) and you are freaking out because pvp scares you, you decide to jump ship to avoid said pvp, it also takes 24 hours to leave the corp. During that 24 hour time period your leaving your corp, YES you are still a viable target.

Unless this has changed recently, you have no clue what your talking about or you havent played very long.

That 24 hour period is the cooldown between actually leaving the corp and revoking all the roles within that corp. Even when they revoke roles they will still carry their corp's banner and thus be a valid war target. As soon as their corp flips to npc corp, no longer a valid war target. The answers given were correct, just not 100% clear.

This is correct. If they have roles it will take 24 hours to drop them before they can leave the corp. Roles how ever are not mandatory if the person does nothing but mission or run incursions.

And you are wrong. It only will take 24 hours if they have roles. Not every one in a corp has roles they have to drop

Ahh thats the specific I did not know, since I have always been in a role, never knew that.

So carebears, join said corp, dont get a role and jump ship the first sign of war dec. Summed it up.

Correct. It is in fact a common thing in mission mining corps for only directors to have roles so every one can leave incase of a wardec.

you have got it wrong VERY wrong

if someone leaves a corp they are 100% from that war dec they just skipped out of.

if it was as you said, a lot of isk farmers would have died to me over the years.

basically how it works is.

war dec omes in. if you have no roles leave corp.
if you have roles drop them asap. leave corp 24 hours later without undocking. safe!!

Now however, that person is a valid wartarget until the war ends or for 7 days, whichever comes first :D

They cannot rejoin the corp that they dropped from for 7 days or until the war ends, whichever comes first.

Once the player makes it into the safety of a non-wardec'd corp (such as a NPC corp, or another player corp), they are no longer a valid war target. You can't shoot them without CONCORD interference.
