Well, if you TRULY are looking for beginners, it´s the rookie channel as mentioned above. However since you get kicked from there if you are older than 30 days I guess that´s not an option. You can always open a new account, I suppose, though.

So imo, the regular help channel is the next best thing where people who are older than 30 days but are still beginners go. And rookie systems aren´t off-limits to idiots either.

But whatever, congrats to your initiative, any help is a good thing.

The rookie channel is one of the tools I use, I don't even need to open up a new account to keep access there, there is this 3rd slot in the character creation which can be used for it.

The regular help channel is also a channel to be used, but there are a lot more channels I can use.
Luckily I also speak various languages so I can also use those specific channels as an extra source to work with.

And I should have chosen my words more carefully before adding something like the word "idiot".
I should have said that that channel is also inhabited by those who don't want or seek to use those channels as what they are intended for.

New round of handouts and maybe some tips will be outgoing comming sunday.

Remember, set your goals first in EVE and then look at what steps you require to take to reach those goals. Visa versa won't really work.
Also a Jack of all Trades does a lot but masters none.
So look if the skills at hand are the ones you need to support your initial goal(s).

Wrong answer, Rookie help disables as soon as an ACCOUNT is over 30 days old, not character

Apparently not a real veteran here, just someone who pretends to be one.

Personal channel: Crazy Dutch Guy

Help channel: Help chat - Reloaded

Public roams channels: RvB Ganked / Redemption Road / Spectre Fleet / Bombers bar / The Content Club

Not a channel I hung out in for over 8 years ago on my accounts so I assumed I would.
How goddamn awefull I made a mistake there.
Now let's pile up the wood to burn the witch.

Glad atleast everyone else never makes a mistake or wrong assumption.

Admitting you're wrong on the forums is pretty much like ejecting during :pro pvp:

You're supposed to go on and insist you're correct, possibly by hurling personal insults at J'Poll. C'mon, give the newbies a show. P

This is an alt.

My main makes enough Isk and in return I want to bring something into the game for new players.
You can mail me your wishes, hopes and dreams in EVE.
Once per week I will take the 3 best mails and reward them with either ships, skillbooks, implants, modules or blue prints (those can be originals or copies)

To avoid anyone getting scammed I want to make sure people understand how the contract system works.
This to ensure you can safeguard I will not scam you.
You check and verify the contract if the item is contracted to you instead of the other way around.
You also check there is no cost or trade which would result into you paying in any form for the item(s)

Always. And I can't stress that enough. Always take your time to check a contract completely. Make sure the terms are as agreed upon and only then you accept the contract.

This whole setup is only for players pretty new characters. Since I have no means to verify you're an alt of a genuine newbee I just set the age limit to 60 days. Anyone over 60 days old isn't going to win anything here.

CSPA has been set to zero Isk. The only cost you have is a few moments of your time to mail me your short or long answer.

Do not send me any Isk or items. I pay for this action from my main's wallet.

Now as why to use an alt for this:

Simply because i don't want my main to look all nice and fluffy. My main is from 2004 and reputation is one of the core elements in EVE.
If I were to hold this action with my main it would raise questions from certain people.

Define pro pvp Blink

And when I am wrong or assuming something wrong then why not admit it.
This is in a New Citizins Q&A thread. As such I wouldn't be using this part of the forums correctly if I were to give false information to new players.

2 days left to the next series of hand outs.

The amount of mails is low so I am quit certain the ones who wrote sofar will receive something to help them on their path.

This is most likely a scam. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

Ginn, an alt of someone I pissed off.

Ginn Armstrong > you realize my post is enough to deter almost anyone with half a brain from trusting you now right?

And this has a lesson in it for new players.
People will try to do anything to get an advantage or if they feel the need to to harrass you.

I read your bio and found the post. It sounds like a scam. I'd encourage a dev or gm to check it out. Scamming is not permitted in this forum.

Edit: Won't be posting any replies to anything else you post. I am not going to fill these forums full of trash/bump your thread. If you want to argue some more go ahead and shoot me a PM in game.

Just my 2-cents here, but i also feel the need occasionally to give stuff to new players. Sometimes i also feel the need to blow them up. Sometimes i even want to know how they're finding eve and what their story is so far. New players in eve very often bring back a little memorey of how vast and real everything felt for the first few months and i enjoy the trip down memory lane. What i'm trying to say is that although eve is full of scammers, there are also plenty of people who just want to help out those in their first steps.

If you don't give anything to anyone you dont trust you cannot be scammed really, short of being lured into lowsec or ganked with all your stuff, but as a new player you dont have stuff worth ganking. Use common sense and dont by any means believe the rumors that eve is ONLY gankers and griefers.

Good on you cody however old you may really be, if anyone young asks me nicely i might just buy em a ship too :)

I don't mind people doubting my intentions.
A good sense of heightened awareness that scamming and such are an intricate part of the game is good.

However I also know the rules about the New Citizin's Q&A and as such I use it as an extra safety net to ensure I am not scamming or luring people towards certain deaths or losses.
If I were to do things which are of dubious nature then I would get kicked off of this forum real fast with an ISD ir GM locking this thread.

Since I am willing to minimise the chance of me setting up a scam even more I stopped with handing out ships, modules, skillbooks and other items.
instead I send a set amount of ISK to the one who mailed me with a few general tips as where to find certain information and also to those who are in a somehwta larger organisation to ask in their corp or alliance chat.
The real stupid questions a new player can have are the ones they aren't willing to ask the more experienced players.

Since EVE has a very steep learning curve for new players I just try to make the transition the first few days / weeks a tad easier.
Less of a hassle to get those books, modules, ships, implants etc.
Bit more in the wallet so also a lot less hurt if you mess up in the beginning and lose that frigate or cruiser you just aquired.

The hurdle a new player has to take in the beginning can be lowered in such a way and once they took that initial hurdle they might be inclined to stay in EVE longer.

It still goes slow, but that was to be expected seeing the nature of New Eden.

I do get mails from time to time which are indeed reminders of grand plans a lot of people started with. But also little dreams and goals, the kind which make you realise that EVE has room for a lot of different things.
At the moment I am taking it slow, spreading on average 200 mill per week out to various people.

I use mainly local in Kisogo, help channel, hilfe kanal, STI corpchannel at the current time.
I will spread my wings out more in the nearby future to reach more new players. Help them with their first steps into the game.

I am collecting more and more IGB compatible sites with information about certain topics so I can mail those which are required with certain paths to the various new players.
All dependable on the path they wish to start off in.

So all in all the start is made and it will entrail still a lot of work untill this really can take off.

I am not recruiting secretly nor am I nudging people to a certain part of the game. I am just giving information to them which correlate to the goal(s) they told me about.
Like stated before, I am not to judge anyone for whatever path they choose.

If I were to do this on my main I wouldn't have that liberty since my main's path in EVE is well enough documented and so are my main's preferences.
Since I wanted to keep this as neutral as possible I am using this alt. No donations are being made to further this cause I set out for myself nor are they being accepted. Simply to avoid any and all influence from outside.

Look at it as a sort of attonement for my main's passt crimes ingame. Blink

I have moved to Amsen incase I receive only a few mails or even none at all. I will look for people in local there who could use a heads up.

I don't know yet which next rookie system I will be heading to. Maybe a mail or a responce here will give me a sense of direction.
All in all I am just going to let this roll as it rolls.

This is a secondary alt.

This way I can also help new players in other space easier by spreading a few ISK.

Confirming this is another alt of mine.

This makes it easier for me to log into another rookie system and maybe be of help there too.
