When shooting pos's would it be possible to have the lasers/missles/turrets etc... all hit the shields instead of the tower, when breaking the tower down through shields?

I suppose the code involved would be another line or so underneath the normal "colliding code", something along the lines of:

particle collide at point = [Distance from ship to tower] - [tower shield radius]

how feasible would this be?

I know adding code like this goes against what team gridlock are trying to do... but really... it's be awesome to see explosions bouncing off shields :)

the bubble around an online pos is NOT a shield its a force field.

the force field is only there to allow/deny access not stop missiles or gun fire

Everytime you buy something that says "made in china" you are helping the rising unemployment in your own country unless you are from china, Buy locally produced goods and help create more jobs.

The problem is the the force field actually does stop missiles, guns etc. (indirectly true)
I have to agree with the OP, it would be nice.

Because anything that could deny entry to a million ton space ship couldn't possibly stop a projectile weighing a few kilograms, amirite?

Ever seen a gnat creep through a screen that stopped a spider? A mouse slip between a chain link fence that stumped a fox? A person between strands of barbed wire that held off the cows?

I think the actual fail is that you can't fire your weapons in 'the direction' of the people inside the ' Force field ' as for some reason, your targeting computer fails.

Apparently,'locking' your guns orientation and just blasting away at anything that intersects your trajectory is a 'feature' of EVE.

There's all sorts of idiosyncrasy in EVE

There are good ships,

And wood ships,

And ships that sail the sea

But the best ships are Spaceships
