I could write 10 page posts about general shield vs armor disadvantage, Citadel torp range issues the unbalanced signature radius and similar but anyone who flew one of them knows.

People actually FLY the Phoenix?

As for the shield v. armour thing, they changed how shields work when applying skills/bonuses now...
