when a corp/alliance declares war on another corp what is the simplest way of adding the "enemy" players to my war targets tab in my contact list? or is it easier to just add the whole corporation rather than every individual member?

thanks

EVE Who

Enter the name of your enemy corporation / alliance into the text field to get a list of members. Best to use in-game since you can then click the little asterisk by their names, which will then open a show info tab in-game where you can then hit the button in the top left and add them as a contact and to watch list.

If you open a corp show info though, and use the add contact function, it only lets you set a standing to the corp, and will not add the member pilots to your watch list.

Follow up question:

My primary character has a list of contacts I'd like to share with an alt.
Is there a straightforward way of sharing contacts with another player, or will I need to enter them in a second time?

Thanks!

Never knew you could add em via the in game browser Lol That saves me time to copy/paste, edit with notepad, paste to eve mail, resolve names and add em to my list before i send the mail to the alliance.

It's funny how players keep accusing CCP from 'dumbing down' the game, yet some players are even worse by offering free 3rd party tools like EVE-who, so even the most incompetent corporations can still get decent intel on their enemies. Roll

You say it like it is a bad thing?

Why is it bad if certain 3rd party tools let people get intel on other corporations?

I think its because it takes a lot of the donkey work out of it. No more trawling through killboards and other such sites - Eve Who does the lot and is normally well up to date - unlike some killboards.

This is a bad thing because it makes intel easier to come by - and good intel is half the battle in Eve.

Before you used to have 24 hours to get your intel ready and out to the corp - now it takes five minutes.

Of course this DOES mean that the corp that still goes the extra mile and checks the killboards may have a better idea of what to expect. Unlike the lazy corp which may accept a list of names as 'good enough'. Big smile
