Hey all,

This morning I have had my Eve clients randomly shut down now 3 times.

Just wondering if anybody else is having this problem?

Cheers

Just as a footnote, is there log kept anywhere that I could check to see if I can find out what's going on?

Ive been having this happen for months now, no errors on screen when it does, the client just shuts down. If im using more than 1 client multi-boxing, then the other/s shut down shortly after in sequence. Ive noticed it happens when in a buisy area such as jita, although this may just be coincidence. There has been threads about this a few times since the begining of the year and nothing has changed.

This happened several years ago.
In the end it was a bad cable of all things.
It took them some time to find problem.

I can tell you from first hand experience that finding issues like these can be a first class nightmare as there are lots of things that can cause this, and it may not even be CCP's problem.

The only thing that is more fun is cleaning a fiber trying to get rid of .25 of a db loss.

Is the result the same as what I've screenshotted & quoted in here?

I wonder if their dynamic network rerouting system is playing up.

Same thing was happening here. At least once every five minutes, i'd be tossed. Problem went away as mysteriously as it came.

I assumed it was the Internet's way of telling me to get my @ss in gear and get a few things done around the house.

If the client restarts itself, it was a disconnect and not a crash.

That said, my clients were disconnecting every few minutes on Monday. Last night I did not have an issue.

I wish my clients would go down on me.

It was happening to me a while ago.

I updated my graphics drivers, then checked my other drivers.
Updated my USB3 drivers (totally unrelated but egh).

Now it works fine..... unless that changed something this morning

Not really.

This can also happen when "some" bad intentioned program try to write on your HDD, provided of course you set your protection options to do this.

If this only happens with Eve then it's safe to say someone at CCP or tier related to CCP is doing some bad stuff.

Same, no lag or lost connection then disconnect, just chatting in corporation chat then insta-close. On the bright side it restarts but its very annoying.

It has been happening to me frequently, usually when I'm surrounded by lots of red plusses. I know I'm in trouble when I start getting module lag like I'm in a fleet fight. I don't remember, do high sec rats have scramble capability?

So close...

As long as you stay at station and trade, you farm isk with 0 risk other than DC. Why would you try to play space pvp knowing there's an issue like this one?
