The Black Rebel Rifter Club is currently Recruiting.

We're looking for primarily US West Coast & Australian time zone members to bolster our presence in those TZ's a little. We'll also consider any applications from other time zone's naturally, but we have a preference for the aforementioned ones at this time.

We have no skillpoint or skillset requirements, all we require is a good attitude and a willingness to cause explosions be it the enemy or yourself.

Things we do in EVE

*Lowsec Solo PvP
*Lowsec Very Small Gang PvP
*Nullsec Solo PvP
*Griefing
*General Villainy

So you want to PvP, but you don't want to write up a bloody report after every killmail, or be interogated about every goddamn silly loss mail, in fact it's a bloody game darnit and you just want to shoot things in the face while listening to music. No need for all this 'pro pvp' sillyness.

Well we may be what you're looking for. You see we also like shooting things in the face and we don't take ourselves to seriously.
We do have 2 rules but they're simple ones. The sanction for breaking them is real simple too by the way (we kick you).

* You honour agreed upon 1vs1's
* You honour any ransoms if you offer them.

As you may have already gathered from these two rules, we're 'pirates'. I put that in quotation marks because we're really just PvP'ers that for the most part don't care about our security status.

So what is the Black Rebel Rifter Club all about?

Well we're all about PvP, but we're a little different from most low/null security PvP corporations in that we're *a lot* less organized and heavily focussed on flying solo or in really small gangs (<5 people). And that we generally fly 'light equipment' T1/T2 frigates, Destroyers & Cruisers without e-war or logistics support and often aren't even on comms.
We do organized proper fleets with comms sometimes, but our default modus operandi is flying around solo and then screaming in corp chat for help if you tackle something big (and it's tank won't break) and maybe get on comms at some point after that -if you know you feel like doing that instead of listening to music-.
Another thing that's uncommon is that we don't keep track of lossmails, if you really like flying 2.5 billion ISK Machariels and loosing them in really dumb ways we're cool with that. If you think the Scythe is the best PvP ship ever and you don't ever want to fly anything else, we're cool with that too.
You heard Seleene on that podcast saying "Maybe you PvP in a Bellicose and loose a lot" and found yourself thinking "But Seleene, I PvP in a Bellicose and [win/enjoy it] a lot..." We might be right for you.

We're not a corp that cares a lot about 'efficiency' we're a corp that cares about fights and getting in them, and having fun with them, the odds be damned.
That being said we do actually do quite well on battleclinics recent ranking (much to our own surprise), but if we were to ever disappear from it this will not lead to massive nuclear drama fallout we'd still just be out all over New Eden exploding stuff, if you catch my drift.

Long story short we have this guy called Lhorenzho he's the "Padre de Familia" of r1fta and he shouts at the other directors (often in Spanish) when we try to introduce what he calls 'complexities' into EVE and so we stopped trying to do that and now we just shoot stuff in the face a lot.

We also really like Barry White.

So when might we be the corp for you?

* You like PvP.
* You like flying solo or in very small groups.
* You're ok with losing stuff.
* You're self-sufficient
* You like operating by yourself and sometimes taking initiative while being part of a larger social environment.
* You enjoy flying smaller stuff
* You read Wensley's Rifter Guide and decided that he is now your god and you want to be just like him.
* You're not bothered that half your corp is made up out of (otherwise really nice) people who also grief and scam on occasion (or a lot).
* You enjoy an active forum community.
* You're capable of distinguishing between how somebody acts in game and the real person behind the keyboard.

When are we definitely not the corp for you?

* You hate PvP.
* You like flying in highly organized T2 gangs with Recon/Logistics etc.
* You always want to be on comms for any form of PvP.
* You think griefing should be banned from EVE.
* You think rules and protocols are the best thing ever.
* You hate ponies and cats (seriously our forums, I don't even know...)
* You're easily offended.

What do we offer?

*A social environment (though not voice comms heavy)
*Some extremely knowledgeable players that you can bug with questions
*Lots of people that like to fly small stuff and chat about it
*A place where you can just PvP without people giving you bullshit about losses or making fun of you for trying something quirky.
*Very active forum community
*Very low drama
*Very affordable logistics from hisec to lowsec if you improve your security status beyond -5.0

When might we also be good for you?

You want to get into piracy, but nobody 'good' will take you because you don't have the right amount of sp/skills/experience/whatever. Well r1fta has a pretty solid reputation in the larger pirate/lowsec community and *actively* flying with us for 6+ months or so will probably seriously increase your chances of moving on somewhere else in said community. And we don't mind being *used* like that provided you're honest and upfront about it because things like that have to go both ways.

What esle?

We're actually really quite friendly people despite our in game villainous ways, we have people ranging in age from 17 to 65 from across all timezones, we're also always quite willing to help people with fitting advice or generally to answer questions in corp chat etc. Mind you we're not a teaching institution nor do we desire to be, we're a low/nullsec PvP corp first and foremost. We try to keep real life views and politics outside of the corp as much as possible our stance on this is something like; "The two subjects you never raise in civilized company are religion and politics". Of course it sometimes happens but we try to keep EVE a game and a place of escapism and to check our real life baggage at the login screen as much as possible.

Currently we base from the Heild system in Molden Heath and we provide corp organized logistics support to get stuff in from hisec if you improve your security status beyond -5.0. But as is to be expected from a heavily solo oriented corporation our members can be found all over New Eden.

A number of our members are very active in the larger EVE community, we have bloggers, #tweetfleet aficionado's, people that participate in community events (RvB Ganked roams, Hulkageddon e.a.) etc. etc.
We also have a corporate account with Agony Unleashed and pay for any of our members wanting to take their classes.

We have no 'blues' bar Red/Black Frog Logistics and out of corp alts. We don't plan on ever having any either.

Our public channel in game is "The Autocannon" where you're welcome to ask any questions if somebody in the know is around we'll even answer them.

You guys sound amazing! I want in! Good. You can go and apply on our forums here (You'll need to make an account).

This thread has just won EvE Big smile

I have deliberately developed an air of cynicism that I originally intended to make me appear somewhat louche and caddish but actually comes across as irritable hostility combined with the unspoken threat of sudden violence.....

Confirming that I would be in this corp if it had been formed back when I was a pirating, rifter flying newbie :)

Highly recommended, great bunch of guys.
