Sansha Massive Attack lvl 4, last pocket.

http://imgur.com/eJaCQ GPU temp rised to 76 C and GPU usage jumping around 80-90%.

Seconds later after I turned camera in other direction http://imgur.com/2P3hW temp dropped for 7-8 degrees and GPU usage stabilized.

Also this is why I hate deadspace clouds http://imgur.com/safPJ

Supported. These things are ugly as sin.

Just did l4 blockade. CCP, get rid of these things. I could hardly see what the hell was goin on in that pocket, thank heaven the nos'ing wasn't heavy.

"Tomahawks?"

"----in' A, right?"

"Trouble is, those things cost like a million and a half each."

"----, you pay me half that and I'll hump in some c4 and blow the ---- out of it my own damn self."

Oh - wait...

Could you please name a few missions, where these clouds are specially annoying? I'll have a closer look at them (but don't expect any improvements before / with Inferno).

Ok Devs... Seriously?

Just get rid of the thick gas in general. No point to it.

Hey I know this will not fix the disgusting brightness and the inability to see if your mods are on or off when dealing with gas clouds, but I have been dealing with frame rate issues in gas cloud invaded sites so I thought others might also be. I found a tip online that recomended turning off anti-aliasing. I did so and over doubled my frame rate while multi-boxing in horrendous sites. What was pushing my GPU down to 12 FPS, is now running at a smooth 35-40 FPS.

Thought I'd mention it.

+1 here as well!

It does not make sense for a game that is being played for hours and hours to be that gfx-hungry, since this leads to more power consumption and in effect will give a nice little bump to your electricity bill, hence leading to annoyed players all over again.

Also, as was already said, this is useless eye candy that messes up a lot of other effects and by that decreases overall eye-candyness.

My opinion: Make it optional, get it working right with other effects, make it more efficient, get that brightness down and we can talk about reintroducing gas clouds while not messing up UI readability.

Thx.
