'Outdated video card detected ' - No SM3 support (but there is!)

I've been having some issues with a Nvidia 7600 running EVE on slackware 13.37 (32bit version). The card is listed as having SM3 support and I've tested EVE under XP which works fine however, if I run it under wine on the same machine EVE complains that there is no SM3 support.

I've installed recent NVIDIA drivers, installed the wine package as well as removing the package and compiling wine from source together with doing all the winetricks applications. The machine seems determined not to let me run EVE under wine but will under XP.

Has anyone else come across this issue and if it was resolved, how was it done?

sounds like you are dual booting... If you do so, have you installed eve under wine? you cannot use the same directory as in windows. I tried and I had some graphics card related problems as well.

No, not dual booting.

copied from one linux machine to this one. Error comes up.

Complete reinstallation under wine, Error still comes up.

Uninstalling the wine binaries, reinstalling by compiling by source. Error still comes up.

glxinfo | grep shader

"GL NV texture shader3"

regedit, add the wined3d registry keys from wiki ... one of them enables SM3 ...
