So many alts online, but not that many humans?

All the time I'm wondering when 45000 are online, how many of them are actually human and how many are just additional alts from multiple accs etc.? Well I always thought that EVE is crowded by many humans.. instead it's not many humans, but many multiple alts online belonging to just one guy... it sorta changed the way I see EVE now, especially when in trade hubs, watching all these scum-alts scamming 24/7, or someone else running a mission with a salvager-alt waiting in a Noctis to suck away all wrecks and loot... to speed up making isk.

I don't know if it is a good thing... or a feature (CCP's profit) for lazy guys. Space feels a bit empty now :(

1 out fo 4 players have a 2nd account or more.

That is only 25% of players , however, for an mmo, this is the highest number you can find. 25% of the people you see or meet in space are an alt ACCOUNT, let alone the countless same account cyno and market alts. So when your in game it feel like half the players are alts becuase well, they are, ccp gave us 3 characters per account, but only 25% of us feel the need to get more than 2 alts. Plus we don't care if our main is offline or not, it's ok becuase once the alt has say, full Research kills, that account now passively collects datacores *set to change*

So yes eve online is a game of alts, get in a good corp you'll find the players. Thankfully most alts don't talk.

Confirming while I pvp in nullsec I have 22 ice mining pilots that I can control all at once, this of course isnt botting, no no way, I am very good at multi tasking. Please dont gank me.

45000 / average of 3 alts per player = 15,000 players

The human players are only who post here.. all others are alts. Thats in fact suppose there are only 20 humans playing and the others are chribba alts !
