I would not have truly thought that what is happening would be possible but I suppose it is.

As a long term indy that used to run on the edges of Gallente and Minmatar empire I have noticed a HUGE depopulation of these regions.

Never before has any Hulkageddon had this affect, but this is not a normal hulkageddon.

What is currently going on is an all out war against noobs and the casual player that pays real money to idly mine and convo in empire.

Running any kind of indy ship between noob hubs, market hubs or along ANY trade route is an actual gauntlent that slaughters the noobs and the casual player that hasn't had the benefits of being trained in how to survive in LOWSEC, cause after all, he is in the "safety" of hisec.

I have now witnessed for nearly a week a hisec incursion that can barely and even rarely is able to put up an incursion fleet, so WTF is that about? Some kind of incursion killing nerf happen or what? Depopulation effects?

Hisec is now truly the most dangerous part of Eve space to be in.

Whoever it is the decided this was a good thing can only be a goon stooge.

Something really bad is happening to this game and I'll wager unsubs will tell the tale in the end.

If all those people, with these near excellent skills doing level 4's or incursions half sleeping would band together....

If they're just newbies, and not ignorant noobs. They'll presumably learn after the 1st(or 2nd, or 3rd) gank, how to make it less risky. Just think of it as a way to make otherwise dull highsec travel more exciting!

Let me tell you about the day I used an Ibis to ship 700m ISK worth of faction items from Jita to Rens and didn't get as much cargoscanned...
(that was about 5 hours ago)

or perhaps the day on which I miraculously survived autopiloting an Orca through high-sec for almost three hours....
(that was 4h ago)

Try some of this adapting and surviving that one hears so much about these days.

hahah no just kidding, games where you do exactly the same thing over and over again for years are the best.

THere is another factor that comes into play here.

It is spring and a rather nice one at that.
So I bet alot of people have just walked away for a bit as they have much better things to do.

High-sec player are casual players, so they can walk away when they want too.
Makes me wonder if hulkgeddon was kicked off during the wrong time of year.

Pure speculation granted but then again so is everything here.

I though incursionners were running fleets for fun to socialize with other players.
At least thats the argument i heard so many times

It looks like that was not the case at all

By socialize, they mean "make some of the best isk per hour around while shooting special rats"

I have noticed this when I logged in today at my usual time; 35 thousand players, its ALWAYS been at least 40 thousand at my regular login time, sad in a way.

CCP will take notice when revenues dip. They have a year over year growth record they are very proud of.

People not are not running incursions because they were nerfed, not because of hulk gankers.
