Failed to patch, again, and again..

I've done what every guy would do when it fails to patch. tried again, recopied my sisi folder, cried and whined about it to friends and even ran the repair.exe, which loops on itself somehow 2 or 3 times and fails.

when i run the usual eve launcher patcher thingy, it downloads like all is good and well, but then it pops up with a message saying

"The patch data was found to be corrupt and unusable. Do you wish to try again?"
Yes, sonny, i do.

it then suggests to try re-downloading the client, which i have tried only to hit the same wall.

i wish i could give you more information but honestly that's all i can tell you, the patch continues to download and apply but it simply says the patch was unsuccessful when it completes. locking me out

any help would be appreciated :3

PS; if it turns out to be something really simple to fix, i shall cry myself to sleep, because I've tried everything i can think of.

i have had the same problem it even tried using heightened privileges to get the patch to update with no joy. I am glad i am not only one with a patching problem!!Twisted

Honestly it's the launcher. I found a way around it that FIXES the issue.
You remember the old Singularity launcher that our current Launcher came from?
Run SiSiLauncher instead of the normal, and it will patch to current, without error.

The problem is that people without 100% noise-free internet connections attempt to download patches via the current launcher, the launcher will see that a section of what it has downloaded is incorrect, and shut down. Noise = slight data corruption, and in most situations, that incorrect bunch of bytes would just be re-downloaded, but the Launcher shuts the DL down and says "The patch data was found to be corrupt and unusable. Do you wish to try again?"

TL;DR,
Run Singularity Launcher instead of your Singularity shortcut
