I did not find it to be particularly hard when I have done that myself. It's time consuming though.

This.

Making 1 billion off market trading in 6 weeks isn't that hard. I remember I hit about 800m within that basic period of time, just using early ISK from L1 missions and loot, and that's because I was doing other stuff too. I believe the first thing I set up a buy order for was a +3 implant, and when it filled I was so excited and scared that I'd end up losing money on the deal. But then I put it up for sale and it sold within maybe an hour for a nice profit. After that, I was on my way. I've been investing from the same pool of money (though on a different character than before) ever since.

..To use a VV term, don't pay the tire kickers any attention.

I've posted a few guides for various online games in the past. It is a very scary thing to do, putting out a guide for the masses to nitpick and flame. Keep on keeping on. Your standard replay to a trolling critic should be "post a link to your blog."

I've read it, and look forward to more updates. Thanks.

In response to the station trading troll who thinks we may too much money.

I agree.

But we should be paying tax to our Corporation not to SCC. 420 Enterprises would be infinitely richer than it already is

Why are you responding to a post in another thread in this thread that has nothing to do with the the other subject matter?

I read your post but I don't think it make any sense to trade T2 items.

to double your wallet within 2 days witn T2 is not possible

but I'm always open for new things so pick one T2 item out of this huge list and show it for everybody

I read that blog post and have to say that I don't like your guide.

Your explanation of the margin trading skill is convoluted and misleading - you don't explain properly how it works (how does it scale with skill level, what happens when a buy order is only filled partially, what happens if I modify the order, what happens if there is not enough money in your wallet to cover the order), you don't explain how to make creative use of the skill (uncovered buy orders with min quantity) and you don't use your own experience to provide any advice to the newbie who is unsure whether to "overbook" his wallet by the factor 2 or 10.

Instead you spout useless and sensationalist crap about guaranteeing me to double my isk (I ahve 5b liquid right now, who do I have to send it to?) which is then corrected to "doubling your earnings potential (maybe) if you didn't already know about margin trading and have around 50m ISK to invest"

The three trading suggestions seem to be completely random - no explanation as to why I should trade them and no obvious characteristics that set them apart from any other items.
Maybe you acquired some stock of them that you want to unload? that's the best guess I could come up with...

In general any newbie is better served reading the guides in the sticky or simply scanning the relevant evelopedia pages for info.

don't trade items which can be produced by players

take ONE item for trading

calculation for your budget: daily average volume * average price *2

max 50% of investment in stock

don't go significant below 50% cash of your budget

station trading is PvP -> kick out all other traders

study the market of your item

station trading is a long term run also if you are doing day-trading stuff

it takes up to 6 month to get full control

a few keynotes for station trading^

The final instalment of the Basic Station Trading Guide has been uploaded. This should see you through to 500 million if you started from 0. The next three posts will be classified as intermediate trading.

Check in tomorrow for the Exploration Trading Guide
