Opportunity Knocks - kill a bot today and profit (or tomorrow...or the next day....)

Over the past few months, we have noted with increasing concerns the actions and growth of a particular group of missioning bots using Vargurs. We have done our best to thin the herd and have reported them to CCP, but there are now 14 in the botting corp, and frankly we only have so much sec status to burn on this guy. We've tried war deccing him...but of course he just sets up a new corp and moves all the bots over.

You may ask "how can you be absolutely sure these are bots? Some players just want to do their own thing." A very reasonable question indeed. The answer is simple - when you can kill two of them over a 40 minute period including waiting out GCCs, and each time you kill one the pod warps to the sun and waits there thats a pretty good clue its a bot. When you lock a third Vargur 40 minutes later and it warps to the sun and sits there despite being surrounded by a bunch of annoyed players, that pretty well seals the deal.

And so - we'd like to allow others to join in the fun. Please convo me for details on the botter and his corp and where they are typically found. Each vargur is currently fit with about a billion worth of faction items so if you get a good drop, profit beckons. If its simply buffing your killboard, the pods seem to be worth about 4 billion these days (now I know who has been buying all those crystal sets.....)

Here is one of the KMs from last night to whet your appeitites:

They warp to the sun after being ganked? Given the gaggles of evidence you have provided, Im sure CCP will be quick to ban them all.

Signatures wer cooler when we couldn't remove them completely.

They may just be Supermen, flying back to the sun to recharge their life-forces. That's a far more plausible explanation than 'bot'.

Are they linked to the other vargur bots that were hanging in Molden ?

Did you not read the post? clearly you failed to understand it. All three Vargur pilots after getting their ships ganked defaulted to the sun.

One of our friends from Black Rebel rifter club popped the pods, they were worth 4 billion each.

WE DID THIS THREE TIMES on the same day, within two hours. - this guy is botting.

We have done this before to him, the last time we killed 5 of his vargurs in the same afternoon

He may not have been a bot, I suppose it's possible that he's just utterly stupid like Stoner - cut down on the dope man it's affecting your ability to see the obvious.

I'll say, instead of asking for a ban, just keep killing.
An average income of roughly 500m per kill in drops before salvaging their ship?
That is a very nice income incentive to keep doing it.

At some point they will either call out crying (and you gain tears) or petition to eve and they hopefully get banned.
In the mean time, keep on killing Big smile

Interesting how you do these activities in stealthbombers, 8k damage is impressive. I did read the post. So they have the same fit. Could it just mean they wanna be efficient? Farm them till CCP does something.
