Anomalies or Missions

Hi,

I've been playing for about a month mostly doing level 2 missions to make my ISK so i can get into a Hurricane. Recently, I've been getting into exploration and I was wondering whether it would be more profitable to run anomalies in .5 or .6 or do level 2 missions (and salvage both). Also, I fly cruisers right now ( Vexor and rupture, though I'm better with the rupture) and I was wondering if I could do anomalies in losec (I am already somewhat familiar with losec). Any tips or advice on anomalies and whether I should do them or not would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Gumby

PS:I have about 91M isk right now, should I just go ahead and buy a hurricane?

I can just about guarantee (almost) that you'll probably lose the Hurricane. As they are somewhat expensive of late, you might wait until you can afford to replace it before you buy and lose it.

;)

Can't really speak to the bit about anomalies, though.

If you go into low-sec or null-sec without really knowing what you're doing, you'll lose your ship. You'll probably lose your ship several times. It's probably a better idea to learn PvP in a relatively cheap frigate or cruiser before going into a low-sec system. You never know what you'll run into outside of high-sec; you might just smack into a gate camp and get your shiny new battlecruiser blown up before you know it.

Many people in PvP systems operate on a "if it's not blue, shoot it" rule, which means that you have a high chance of drawing fire from complete strangers. I would learn the basics of PvP before I gambled a new, expensive ship on trying to get a small increase in ISK revenue.

That's true, but let me reiterate my question as it might be a little unclear in my original post. Would it be more profitable to run level 2 's or run anoms in .5/.6?

I think running L2 missions in .5/.6 systems work pretty well, doing so myself in a Moa, making about 150-300k ISK a run without salvaging.

When Bon Scott died and he appeared before St. Peter at the gates of Heaven, St. Peter looked at his record and told him he couldn't get in. Just then, God screams at Peter, "Let him in, Karen Carpenter is driving me nuts. I want to hear some music with balls. We'll haggle over the paperwork later." At least I hope that's what happened.
