I have never PvPed at all. I have just now got a taste of battle doing missions, and I want More!!

I have another toon that has always been a miner, and is in a mining corp., but they can't really help with the darker side of Eve.

How is the best way (other than joining another corp) to get into real PvP. And if I have to join another corp, are there any that really teach a green toon PvP. I don't want to be a care-bear anymore. Pirate

What kind of PvP are you looking for? There are three different major types of PvP, and each one is fairly different.

Solo PvP
Roaming gang
Giant sov fleet fights

You'll need to figure out which one you're going for before you can figure out how to go for it.

Oh no... I like the sound of them all. I guess gangs would be my first choice.

Then I would probably suggest joining a lowsec corp which does regular roams (I'm not sure which ones there are out there TBH). Then buy and fit about a bunch of T1 frigates and go in as fast tackle. Once you're comfortable with the gangs you're roaming with, and PvP in general, start moving up into bigger ships depending on what kind of fleets they usually run.

Email me in game.

I know some good PvP corps. I'm sure I could get you into a good training corp.

I have a post here with the essential mechanics for someone starting high-sec pvp. Read it until you understand it. It took me years to learn some of those lessons... I think it's worth reading.

If you want, you can join my corp. I'm not on enough to do much anymore, but I can probably guide you in the right direction.

There are plenty of PvP corps out there willing to accept new players. Take a look at the recruitment forums and / or the recruitment channel in game. If you need a shove in the right direction give me a shout in game.

I would also suggest taking a look at agony unleashed's PvP basic class. Its a heck of a lot of fun and reasonably cheap. They will give you a great head start on PvP.

Any taste you get in missions is a taste of sh*t not battle, along with a sound of your soul screaming while it gets crushed :)

Technically you don't have to join pvp corp to pvp, you just have to get out of hisec, go to lowsec and hang around sun, static plex (if there is such in a system) or 300km from station. If nothing happens in a few minutes ask for a fight on local.

If you are not experienced you will get you a*s handed to you multiple times so don't fly anything shiny and don't get angry and don't rage about it. There is no amount of bad words that can offense pvp player, it will only make their corp laugh. Just warp out your pod to safe, convo your opponent and ask for some tips and advice. Hisec myth is that lowsec is full of a*sholes but in fact there is quite a lot of nice ppl who will troll you only if you have a bad attitude (mentioned raging and crying over lost ship) and given a chance they will help you get better.

Systems where you can go for fights are relatively well known on these forums, use search functionality or google but just to give you some starting point I say that during my first weeks in Eve I went to Hevrice to say hello to Tuskers who exploded me and gave me hints what I did wrong and how bad my fits were. BRRC's home system is Heild in Molden Heath and usually somebody is hunting in there and surrounding systems. In Derelik region you have Uplingur and Yishinoon systems where also quite a lot of fights happen. Go there and see how you like it.
