Lyn Farel has made a very very nice chart about the political roster of new eden (see here). As for, Im a huge fan of this chart and the work as whole. So I was thinking maybe start a topic on this forum about this idea (see here). But as also I was thinking starting slow.... Two reason: [1] I havent so much infos about all the Factions and {2] a almost CCP look a like chart was easier to make.

So I have started those pages:

  • Khanid Corporatists (here)
  • Khanid Royalists (here)
  • Khanid Zealots (here)
  • Khanid Determinists (here)

Khanid Unionists (here) is already canon.

So as people can see there are two problems: [1] content and [2] technical.

[1] As for the content, of course there should be more. And of course any player which has an Idea can add something, evn just another link under "See Also" is welcome.

[2] The second problem is a little bigger and yes... there is also any help welcome. As if you dont us firefox....you will see, like in chrome, if you soom in or out; that the charts breaks.... so any help would be welcome to ix this problem.

I would love to have those classes ingame. See here:

You did some awesome work, as usual, in translating the information into the wiki.

A few thought though:

-Determinists: Isn't determinism a philosophy rather than a political faction? I think this group should be replaced by the "seperatists" that already exist in EVE lore.
-Zealots: I get the impression that the Khanid zealots are divided over many disagreeing (some even warring) groups of cults and churches. These seem too fractious to be put into a coherent political group. Unless there is a dominant faction among them that I'm unaware of (in that case I'd be very interested in hearing some background about them!).

About Determinism: Yes it is a philosophy.
About Determinists: I think Lyn was going out from latin determinare "to decide", "to determine". So It is possible to use the term. As for the term seperatists: I dont think this term would fit well, because of the goal seperation (seperation in the meaning of independency) is already achieve. So I think a term which describe a further demarcation/dissociation from the Empire would fit better.

As for the Zealots. They are in the hexagon "theocrats", if they have theological goals. In this hexagon you will find also the cukt of Terimon which lifes in the Kingdom, but has his goals in the Empire. So in the group Khanid Zealots (Khanid in the meaning of the Kingdom), they are just a Kingdom political group or better said; they are a goup in the Kingdom because or as long they have Khanid II as champion (with this little trick, we got this group and also some Khanid II vs Jamyl I actionSmile).... otherwise they would be totally in the hexagon "Theocrats".....

((P.S. Like I said: They are in the hexagon "theocrats", if they have theological goals. If their goal is purely reclaiming, than they are in the hexagon "traditional reclaimers - sarum family"... this is the the Khanid vs Jamyl action which I meant))

But of course you can always add something, if you like Big smile

I would love to have those classes ingame. See here:
