Project Microspread Report #1

Bellow is the copy of the Results Overview section:

"The kickoff month for Project Microspread was seen by DuPont Enterprise’s staff with lots of concerns regarding how much of a burden would it be to start providing liquidity at the Agoze market for minerals. The lack of past experiences within our knowledge base placed us stepping on unknown territory, with just basic raw market data to provide us any insights on how – quantity and price for each mineral we would be buying and selling – we should be starting this venture.

The chosen way was to be as aggressive as we could in the first days, meaning, we decided to wipe out all offers for tritanium, mexallon and isogen around Viriette, moving everything to agoze, and placing bids above the prices we have bought everything, for relevant amounts. At the same time, we started the guidance bids at Intaki V – Moon 5 Astral Mining Refinery station using a more than 10% premium over regional averages.

On those first days, what happened was that our guidance bids were met faster than the bids at Agoze. Some opportunist traders even used our sell orders at Agoze to buy minerals and sell to our guidance bids at Intaki, literally taking money from us. This loss of money was irrelevant with regard to the size of this project but some action had to be taken in order to inhibit traders to do that. We decided to reduce the amount of the guidance bids to be only 10% of total Agoze bids. Also, during the following days, we decided to reduce the premium in the guidance bids over our Agoze bids to less than 10%. The activity of traders using our offers practically stopped and our objectives were met with success, meaning: guidance bids started to play the informational role we expected, also serving for occasional sellers for minimum ISK, and Agoze bids started to play their role as main bids (by far) for the Viriette constellation.

[DUPO]’s stance on the followup was to keep its market aggressiveness. On some occasions, traders tried to use the same technique, wiping out our offers and putting their offers for the same amount at the same station, a bit higher. Our response was simply wipe them out again, moving our bids for even higher amounts considerably up, and selling less, always keeping the 0.01 ISK spread. At the same time, we constantly survey all Viriette markets to check for cheaper than ours minerals offers we could buy and store for further sellings at Agoze.

We are happy to announce that we achieved a market share of more than 2,5% of total Placid activity for Tritanium, considering only our Agoze microspread operations, as well as a 2,4% market share for Mexallon and 1,2% market share for Isogen. To keep the ball rolling at Agoze during this first month, our net expenditure of ISK for minerals totaled 73 million ISK, countered by current 67 million ISK in sell orders. So far, we are managing to keep at all times bids and offers of around 5 million Tritanium units, 575k Mexallon units and 110k Isogen units, enough for most capsuleers needs on a daily basis at that station. Intaki guidance bids have cost to us almost 98 million ISK in purchases of minerals we mostly moved to Stacmon and other regions to be sold. We have also decided, for strategic reasons, to move our guidance bids to Pend Insurance station above the planet Intaki III."

DUPO's Talocan research team in our Anoikis station will be able to provide useful algorithms for market analysis so we can better explore Viriette mineral opportunities.

Still, more than 58 million Tritanium units, almost 4 million Mexallon units and 340 thousand Isogen units traded at Agoze in one month, all things considered and with one cent of ISK spreads being kept at all times, are nice figures already. Congrats.
I hope we can keep with the good work. It seems we are far from our objectives still.

Cheers,

Sure. "We flip the coin and win both sides" Ms. Oniseki. Smile

Was the logical move after IPI's announcement of their Agoze trade hub idea and after everything we expected for minerals markets.

Just letting you know, but there was literally no logic or point to my post. I have absolutely no idea what you're talking about in your reply.

Try drinking a cup of tea instead of alcohol, next time.

I've been trading some nicely flavored new brands out of Bahromab, with lots of interesting side effects too. One of them can even make people smarter for short periods of time. I can have a few reserved to you next time you come to these bands. You won't regret.

A pity that you had to resort to that.

Out of respect for my accord with Vechtor, I'll refrain from posting further in this thread.

Try drinking alcohol instead of tea next time Zius. Perhaps this way you can improve your mood. Smile
