Hi!

I am not an experienced Mac user.
With the last Eve update it seems like Eve's number get shorted for me.
Like my 81 million is suddenly only 81 ISK
43 thousand players on log in is only 43
The same with the market.

I tried the Help channel and someone said it is most likely some setting in Mac, I have found a setting for the number format, but no matter how I set it seems to still be the same problem.

I am not sure I am doing this correctly since my lack of experince with stuff like this. Does someone know how I should do it and can help me out?

Thanks in advanced!

PS. I tried to log in on a PC and it worked..

I don't know what is causing it but I can say with some confidence that it is not caused by a Mac OS X setting. The Mac client is basically the Windows client sitting on an emulator - it is not reading any configuration information like that from the operating system.

I found this in this thread "Escalation to Inferno Macintosh Issues and Feedback" on page 3 from other people that experience the same thing, and it helped me :-)

"Thank you for the feedback!

In my case I am running the english EVE client. My iMac is running norwegian version of OSX Lion (10.7.3).

EDIT: I switched OSX language from norwegian to english just to give it a try. Numbers are now showing correctly, so the problem seems to be related to localized versions of the operating system. The thousand- separator seems to be the cause of this bug indeed..."

But thank you anyway for the reply :-)

This should now be fixed, it wasn't a Mac specific thing either by the way. The client is now using the OS configuration for thousands separators and other things like that. Norwegian Bokmal uses spaces for separators which caused some unexpected fallout.

Well I guess that explains why it actually got fixed then.

We were never able to actually repro it on Windows, but we did have reports from Windows users as well.
