Ok devs now it time to ask WTF is Pax Ammaria book all about other then fing over the poeple that took that over the other stuff for gifts.

So far its just a book of trash worth nothing so let drop the other shoe whats the point of haveing it?

Had i known what it was i would not have taken it as the free gift would have taken the implants.

Yes. I hear free gifts are something to ***** over.

The fact that literacy escapes you isn't really that surprising, but it was very obviously stated that it was a collectors item.

It's a collectors item. It has no other purpose than being an item, that doesn't spawn through normal gameplay.

It's a collectors item.. that's what it is, that's what it does.

If you wanted practical shoulda got something else..

That amarr book is worth whatever you can hock it for on contracts. I sold mine straight away. 25 mil. Too bad you can't fly it.

I choose the Pax Ammaria due to the fact it's unique, also, it clearly said: Collector's item. Like almost all collector items ingame, it serves hardly a purpose beside being fancy (check Echelon, Zephyr, Apotheosis, Snowball launcher)

So you can't say you're ripped off, as it just follows the trends of other collector items, being nice to have (and to offset the fact you can't fly the book, it got a nice link to i'ts history in the description, the only item in the whole game to have a link there!)

Also, this book is a wonderful gift for those that roleplay, imagine the consequences they have when faced by the Amarr, and the ensuing hilarities.

It's not worth getting upset because you didn't google 'pax ammaria free gift' before choosing it.

Most players I know picked it because the gifts had such meaningless low value to them that they chose the book to avoid the hassle of trashing the other stuff.

there's a few items with links in their descriptions now. Think it was a plan to have more items like that, but then there were cutbacks at CCP.

the tier 3 battlecruisers have a bunch of showinfo links.

There's also a few items, relating to one of the live events from a while back. One has my name on it, yay.

I guess some people just can't take a gift for what it is...a gift, i.e. no one had to give you anything but they did anyways. They even gave you a choice. Have we really become this utterly selfesh?

It used to give Nocxium when you smoked it but CCP embargoed it and took the nocxium. All that is left is a cover and a back. No pages.

any time they remove a skill from EVE, they change all the skillbooks of that type in EVE into Pax Amarria?

Seems to be the case anyway, though I forgot which books were the last.. ah, right, the skills for Learning to increase your attributes; or maybe it was the Social skills for LP boosting when they got changed to the 3 divisional skills. Did they replace those with Pax Amarria?

Either way, that post from the Goonswarm member up there is probably entirely honest. Just imagine how many attribute learning books a big alliance may have in its stockpiles. That is to say, the Pax Amarria is nowhere near rare, though it is technically a collectible.

It might be that there are 32 billion of them in game, or maybe there are only 1-2 million, or maybe only 500K. Hard to say actually, I think all the ones I might have had were destroyed. Unimportant enough to trash them and forget if you did by that measure.
