Wow, talk about jumping the gun. Seems it's true, Patience is definitely a virtue that only a few possess.

I'm an alt character of DeMichael Crimson (DMC). I must say this is all very disturbing, especially since no prior notice was given whatsoever.. DMC currently has a temporary Forum ban active and receiving the news about the Events and Gatherings sub-forum change was only recently acquired a few days ago.

Actually, the forum ban is not the issue. What disturbs DMC the most is how nobody even bothered to contact him in-game about the recent forum change resulting in the original thread being archived. DMC spent a lot of time creating, responding and updating that original thread. When DMC was informed about the forum change, that thread was 'Reported' and asked to be moved and unlocked. Obviously petitions take time to be answered and CCP is well known for being slow as molasses on a cold winter day when they feel it isn't urgent.

That original thread was created when these new forums were first activated and by all rights that thread could have easily became one of the oldest active threads in these forums. The only time DMC ever bumped that thread was to personally thank each player for the 'sign-in' and post info of an upcoming Eve Meet or to promote California Capsuleers, the Community Bulletin Board for California Eve Players. The rest of the time that thread was active on it's own which is proven by the 'sign-in' of 76 California Eve Players.

DMC thanks you for the honorable mention and link to the original thread but seriously, please remove it. At this time DMC has no intention of helping. Seems you basically took advantage of this situation and quickly jumped on a chance to promote yourself instead of personally contacting DMC prior to creating this thread. That little bit of common courtesy beforehand would have been greatly appreciated and actually would have helped a lot.

However, if you really do want to honor the original thread - California Eve Players (USA) - then copy the format of the original post and transcribe it into your op. Also send all of the 76 'sign-in' players a personal Eve message in-game asking them to re-sign into your new thread.
