No Amarr/Gallente Faction ships?

So, how come there aren't any ships that need both Amarr/Gallente skills? Mainly prompted by a mention from a dev that the factions were allied, so why no gal/amarr love?

Those two factions are not allied in any way...

I would love a drone swinging armor nightmare, yeah giv it.
But as previous poster stated, those factions arent related to each other in any way, there is a lore issue with that.

Wouldn't that mean that they would first need to invent another NPC faction to support this cross over?

But yep, I would love to see faction ships for the race mixes we do not currently have.

The Amarr and Gallente are not allied in any sense of the word. The two alliances in hisec are Caldari/Amarr and Minmatar/Gallente.

Faction ships for race mixes would certainly be cool though.

Hey people, here are some answers for you.

* WILL GALLENTE PILOTS BE REWARDED FOR CAPTURING AMARR PLEXES AND VICE-VERSA: yes, allied factions have been thought of, thus, a Gallente pilot capturing an Amarr FW complex, or a Caldari pilot capturing a Minmatar complex will get paid in their respective militia LP store for instance. Please note allied factions aren't paid for capturing Infrastructure Hubs however, as they can't shoot it in the first place.

Hope that helps! Smile

So the Gallente are allied with the Minmatar, who are at war with the Amarr. Therefore, a Gallente pilot who captures an Amarr complex in Factional Warfare (i.e., who goes and blows up a bunch of Amarr ships and threatens their sovereignty over a system) would get rewarded by his faction for doing so, even though the Gallente are not directly warring with the Amarr.

Ah, when I first read " a Gallente pilot capturing an Amarr FW complex," I inferred the complex belonged to the amarr FW people, and thus would be fighting for Amarr, not against it.

Although I still want a gal/amarr boat....

Pirates don't care for high sec alliances:

Amarr + Minmatar = Bhaalgorn
Amarr + Caldari = Nightmare
Caldari + Gallente = Rattlesnake
Gallente + Minmatar = Vindicator
Minmatar + Gallente = Machariel

There are 7 potential further combinations if you go with the primary being the hull and secondary being a feature.

From what I know, Amarr + Gallente is the EOM who use Hybrid based Amarr ships.

I'd love to see the Bhaalgorn, Vindicator, and Rattlesnake get new models as well.

I was thinking more a laser/drone boat personally, but I'd like to just see anything with that combination. Assuming any combination is good enough, the only one missing is Amarr/Gallente and Minmatar/Caldari (If we are only talking battleships).

Thinking of the fact that there's a Gallente + Minmatar and a Minmatar + Gallente, the Amarr + Gallente as the EOM makes sense, or the laser drone idea from above.

Now, how about the Gallente + Amarr ship that could be a Vindicator class hybrid platform with Bhaalgorn class neut bonuses.

Yes please.

It's quite possible that the armageddon becomes the battleship class arbitrator once the ship rebalancing reaches that point.

I'm a great fan of the arbitrator, but it's still just a t1 cruiser at the end of the day.

There are two T2 variants, which I why I said "the Arbitrator line" rather than "the Arbitrator". From what I've heard, the Curse and Pilgrim are pretty nice ships.

They are, and I fly them regularly, but they are not an entire faction line dedicated to a blending of amarr/gal <.<

Curses and pilgrims are primarily neut/drone ships. They both fill niche rolls in small gang warfare, the curse being vastly superior due to the increased neut range, but in any fleet fight that involves battleships, the curse is out performed by approximately 2 - 3 heavy neuts.

The closest thing there is to laser drones is the geddon, but then most people throw in sentries and call it a day.

I'm waiting for matar/caldari: machariel with more tank Big smile

Amarr + Minmatar = Bhaalgorn - Ashimmu - Cruor
Amarr + Caldari = Nightmare - Phantasm - Succubus
Amarr + Gallente =
Caldari + Gallente = Rattlesnake - Gila - Worm
Caldari + Minmatar =
Caldari + Amarr =
Gallente + Minmatar = Vindicator - Vigilant - Daredevil
Gallente + Amarr =
Gallente + Caldari =
Minmatar + Gallente = Machariel - Cynabal - Dramiel
Minmatar + Caldari =
Minmatar + Amarr =

Factions mix
Amarr + Minmatar = Ammatar
Amarr + Caldari = Khanid
Amarr + Gallente =
Caldari + Gallente = Mordus Legion
Caldari + Minmatar =
Caldari + Amarr = Sanaha
Gallente + Minmatar = Serpentis
Gallente + Amarr =
Gallente + Caldari = Intaki / Syndicate
Minmatar + Gallente = Angels
Minmatar + Caldari =
Minmatar + Amarr =

Many of the factions dont actually line up with their ship bonuses, Sansha are a Caldari who moved to Amarr, While Khanid are Amarrians who incorporated caldari tech,
Angels operate everywhere, and arent restricted to Minmatar/gallente relations (though they are based out of Minmatar space)

Theres a lot of that bad Lore mix ups and gaps, but meh?

Its not possible to please all the people all the time, but it sure as hell is possible to Displease all the people, most of the time.

The only way I could see Gallente and Amarr ship marriage ever happening is if Amarr conqueured the Gallente and made them slaves the way they did to the Minmatar.
