Will a High Sec Agent send you into Neighboring Low Sec?

Many missions I do ask me to jump to a neighboring system (or 2 jumps) for the objective. If one of the nearby systems is in low sec, will the agent send you there?

The particular area (Near Hek) that I'm planning to go missioning is close to low-sec and the gates there are constantly camped. I know I can decline one mission every 4 hours, but I don't want it to happen that I'm given 2 in a row that send me into that system, where I'll likely get blown up in my mission fit ship (and trying to take my Noctis out to salvage just won't happen)

Is the game hard-coded to prevent this, or is it a very real possibility that I'll just have to accept?

Yeah they changed this some time ago to lessen the load on certain systems. It is very possible for your agent to send you to low sec to run a mission.

It is great if you have numerous agents within 1-2 jumps of your "home" station as this doesn't become a problem.

Don't go in a mission fit ship, and/or take a few buddies with you?

You might come home with mission completed, and a nice killmail+the attacker's loot.

Thanks for the replies. I think I'm looking for a low pop system with lots of Neighboring systems so that the program has plenty of nearby systems to pick from. I'm currently missioning out of Umokka, which is a dead-end, thus it's Neighbor Ruvas also get full pretty quick, meaning I often have to go 2 jumps.

I should be okay then where I'm going as it's quite empty much of the time and has plenty of systems one jump away.

A corpy was running missions near lowsec for R&D standing one time, and he was sent to the nearby pirate low sec.
we decided to drop a bait drake into the mission and see what came up, a pilgrim scanned him down and warped a sleipnir in with it. The pilgrim got tackled and the sleipnir ran off at the fullest of his capability. Oops

So taking friends or having them close by might be a good idea. Blink
