Hey All,

I'm returning to Eve from about 2007. I've got two accounts active but I'm thinking about dropping one. I'm not really sure how skills are ranking as of now but I'd appreciate if you guys could take a look and give me any advice.

I'd like training advice if possible or if either character has way more value then the other. I'm into PVP and like 0.0 ratting/mining or in general ISK making. I was in a 0.0 corp before I left. (Our alliance disbanded and we all went separate ways.)

I also have about 1mill to spend from the learning skill refund.

EDIT:

Here are my eveboard links.

Your tanking skills on both characters seem to be [very] lacking. Choose one style and focus on it until you are "decent."

They both seem fine. I'd say your options were:

1- Keep the first character. He's more combat-oriented, and it's easier to take a combat character and add on trading, etc than the other way around in my experience.

2- Transfer one character to the other account and then ditch the now-empty account. That way you have a hauler/trading-ish alt that's not bad even though you can only train one character at a time. You can also use a same-account alt for things like scanning and so on.

Getting back into 0.0 has more to do with your out-of-game social skills than your in-game skills, either 20M+ character should be fine for the vast majority of 0.0 Corps/alliances in the pure numbers sense.

I'd also advise getting an account with something that allows you to just post a link to your character skillsets in a more readable format, that's a lot of wall of text there. (EDIT: For instance, I totally missed that neither character has a full tank specced. You should work on that.)

Hmm yea that makes sense I suppose. I did a lot of armor tanking then swapped over for shield tanking for the maelstrom.

What skills am I lacking? Also I'll check out eveboard.com. I definitely need a better way to show my characters! It took me hours to parse the skills down to fit 6000 characters.

Great thank you. I never thought about using the same account for tasks like that. It would be unfortunate to lose training skills on both though...

With armor; you are missing out on the "compensation" skills (ex. EM Armor Compensation, Explosive Armor Compensation, etc). You want to get those to level 4 so you can make the most out of mods like the Adaptive Nano Membrane and its energized variants.

With Shield tanking; you want to get Shield Management (+5% shield capacity), Operation (-5% shield recharge time), Upgrades (-5% powergrid needs for shield mods), and Compensation (-2% capacitor for shield boosters) to 5. The Comp skills you can generally ignore unless you are looking at a specific fit involving shield resistance amplifiers.

Great, thanks. I'll put that 1mill SP to good use :)
