Hail to you, capsuleers of the Summit,

I am Aldrith Shutaq, former Grand Master and current Seneschal of the Knighthood of the Merciful Crown. I appear before you today to announce the reformation of the Order, nine months after the disbandment of its initial incarnation.

To those of you who do not know of me, I will not endeavor to tell you who I am, as it is not my place to do so. Only my actions may reveal my character, and I need not be known by those who are not affected by them.

To those of you who knew me before, I greet you once again, however unwillingly. I feel that I owe you an explanation for my departure some months ago, at the very least. I will lend you this in private should you wish to hear; simply send me a message and I will write a letter to each I receive a request from.

Now, this communication is not about me, but about the Knighthood I founded two years ago, and its future path. To address this, I defer to the Order’s new Grand Master, Ser Ger’Ante Otheiran.

It would be rude to wish those who live in perpetual night a good day, so I will kindly withhold the sentiment.

I am Grand Master Ger’Ante Otheiran, of the hamlet of Oth on Kihtaled IV, fiefdom of Lord Gosunta Fultan, Holder of the Khanid Kingdom, domain of King Khanid II. I am leader of the Order of the Weeping Sun first, then of the reformed Knighthood of the Merciful Crown second. Yet despite this, I intend to lead both as a true son of each order, by my honor and my strength. If I were able I would opt for the same course of action as my student Aldrith and not speak of myself, but since you walking corpses are generally ignorant of anything that goes on beyond your small slivers of space, I feel the need to clarify some things before you begin thinking of me as one of your fellows.

I am not one of you. I possess the dignity of still being able to call myself a man, unlike most of you flesh-stealers. Some may think me presumptive in my judgment of your inhumanity, yet I would call them ignorant at best, and self-deluded f*ck-wits at slightly less than best. I know full well that some of you have enough humanity left in you to be called something vaguely resembling ‘good’, but sorting you out from the demons that infest your world will be a slow process.

I am like you in one sense, however, in that I am not an entirely natural human: I am a cyber knight. And I am a damned proper one as well. I believe in honor. I believe in justice. I believe that the strong ought to protect the weak, rather than take advantage of them. Most of all, I believe that there is God-given good in this sh*t-hole cluster that needs to be glorified and protected at all costs, unto my very permanent death. I also f*ck people who do not believe in these noble concepts with an armored, cybernetically enhanced fist. And as I hear it, these concepts are woefully lacking amongst your kind.

I, and the Knighthood of the Merciful Crown, intend to change this.

This Knighthood, henceforth, shall be a collection of capsuleer warriors who serve not themselves, not a lord, and not a single people. It shall follow one thing: that God-given good that is the sole thing worth living for in this universe.

This Good is also the sole thing worth fighting for. The Knighthood shall be dedicated to this fight, and shall not compromise in it. Those who uphold the Good shall be glorified and protected. Those who ignore it shall be ignored. And those who harm it shall be deposed in the most cruel manner. An evil capsusleer may not die if they truly do not wish to; I know this. But everything around him can: his ships, his assets, his reputation, his followers, his false empire, his spirit and his mind. ALL of these shall be scratched, hacked at and immolated ‘til the wicked is laid before the feet of the righteous, bloody and broken and crying for a mercy which will not be given.

However the task of slaying immortal, all-powerful demons is an eternal one. I do not have the arrogance to claim I can perform this task, nor the power to even begin to try. But you lot sure as hell do.

If there are demons amongst you capsuleers, then there are also angels. These angels must be found and made to fight this eternal fight. The Knighthood of the Merciful Crown shall endeavor to do just this. Those found shall become true Knights, if not in title then in spirit, and they shall spread the will to fight back the sickening blackness that exists in the capsuleer heart. Perhaps one day that blackness will not be the terrifying cancer it is today, but there is much work to be done.

May all who dare allow that darkness into their minds be dragged kicking and screaming into the light by His servants, and may they suffer as that light burns them to ash. May those who perform this task rejoice at the glory they bring unto the world, and may they be eternally rewarded. This is a hopeless dream, but it is one that must be dreamt.

And may a bloody death be brought to all you c*nts who would try to stop it.

NO HONOR FOR THE HONORLESS,
NO MERCY FOR THE MERCILESS.

I too believe in Good. Unfortunately how we fight for it may differ vastly. In any case, welcome back Aldrith.

Welcome back, Senechal. Your return is great news. Chivalrous warriors are too rare.

And good luck, grand master. You have big boots to fill.

Heresy and a mouth fouler than mine. Can't wait for the update where you outline what you have actually accomplished, but I think it might be a while.

Hmm. Welcome back to the fold Shu'taq.

Grand Master Otheiran.
I cannot say that your black and white view of the world and faith is anything but completely outdated and old fassioned, despite this completely idiotic point of view your aims at least seem to be... acceptable, perhaps enough so to even with you some medium of success.

I see Brother Otheiran's extensive training did not include the niceties of polite conversation and conducting ones self with some decorum, unlike many of the other Knights I've had the pleasure of meeting.

Perhaps the Order of the Weeping Sun forgot to buy the skillbook on manners?

"Cunts", indeed, Sir Knight.

I will say I prefer the old rooster's rambling profanity, curses and threats to an Archbishop sermon...

I'll keep that in mind next time I have to address a large audience with Matari in it.
Apparently they prefer being insulted, cursed at and generally using more foul mouthed language than is generally plausible.

Because of course, politeness has no value to anyone but Amarr....

It's always good to see an old name return and I look forward to hearing about the KotMC serving the Empire.

Let's hope that this time they can avoid the mistakes of the past.

Well, well. Hello again.

We had a chance to get reaquainted last night in Tararan. I must say, it was a pleasant reunion.

I find humor in people calling him out for past "mistakes", whatever those may be, when the ones saying such things have not been seen actually fighting in the warzone for, oh.... two years? Mmm, how people do throw stones. Or for language... I found Mr. Otheirans's words straightforward, clear, and concise. You promise action, and I have already seen, firsthand, that this promise is not as empty as most made here.

If only more people would say what they meant, and then follow it up with deed.

Your cause is flawed, but your goals are noble. One out of two isnt bad. Welcome back, Aldrith, and KotMC.

Brother Blake was referring to I believe perceived lapses in moral conduct from the Knighthood on more than one occasion, not the endless tidal fluctuations of the faction war.

This. It was a particular subset of the Knighthood's old membership that Rodj was referring to, one that was prone to temper tantrums and the like when not getting their way - even when that would've gone against the Knighthood's values and policies.

Hopefully without their presence, things will run more smoothly this time.

It's good to see you're still around, Aldrith. Good luck with this new (or rather, more refined) direction. Sounds like you'll need it for a while.

You are so, so close, Aldrith, to realizing what has to be done.
