Greetings,

I would like to know what the company/devs consider to be a benchmark for the Game in terms of PC/GPU (DT/Laptop) for EVE now.

I am on a 256MB 8600M atm, I am considering changing to something new... but where to be with what is a major question as far as what is a good overall tech solution for this app.

Could we get a standard for:

HIGH: - everything with a good FPS that doesn't lag so much that PvP = Death by lag, (solo/small) NOT the TD Blob kind.
MED: - same as above
LOW: - again same

Smoke and clouds (mission) seem to be a real issue - and no way to turn them off, I am hearing (lappy is in the shop) missile smoke is doing this also... why are we having smoke in a space game anyway?... seems very odd.

I know that CCP is talking to downsize the client lag/demands, what do we need to play EVE with playability?

Time to upgrade chief after watching the fan fest Direct x11 tech demo I'd say a future GPU standard is at least a GTX560 or AMD equivalent. as for CPU quad core AMD or Intel are cheap nowadays and bank on at least 8 gigs of DDR3 ram
