HAHAHA I'm an idiot-and probably done with high sec at this point. For the better part of this year I have been all over these forums (Mostly reading) seeing all sorts of adverts about Hulkageddon. I've dabbled in every element of the game thus far (Except Low Sec-that's changing) and I figured I'd see just how mind numbing Mining can be. The new ship smell on my retriever hadn't worn off before I got blown up by a Catalyst-One I saw coming and was next to me for about 3 minutes before killing me, might I add (again, Idiot). I'm not proud of myself.

For the record, this is exactly why I love this game. I mean sure, I was the victim but I was the victim of a game wide, world wide event in a game the player can shape as they see fit. To the man who got me, thank you for reminding me why I love Eve so much.

With that said, I'm done with high sec. A man can only mission so much before he demands more. I look forward to awkardly fumbling my way through low sec for the next few months and getting killed tons and tons of times before I make my way towards being slightly above incompentant at it!

There will be no tears from me. I fudged up and paid for it (regardless of how little I felt it in the wallet).

And don't forget:

http;//eve-locator.justaddhippopotamus.com/index.php?ref=eveBoard

So you can find...people.

And if you have no standings? The ingame channel 'locates are us' is usually chock full of people who for 5 million isk can locate folks for you!

I honestly feel like I just read fifty shades of dumb. --CCP Falcon

These are the types of posts I like to see. All of us have carebeared or mined to a point, sometimes out of nothing else to do, sometimes out of necessity for ISK. The fact that you are willing to experience the best part of this game, which is undoubtedly pvp, shows an evolution in your career as an Eve player.

For all of those who rail against PVPers, say we are evil, that we are griefers, that we ruin the game...well guess what? All that mining you do, all of that industrial work you provide would be completely useless if it weren't for pvp. We go out and we destroy things. Destruction begets creation, and vice versa. It is the cogs that drive the economy. I applaud you on your willingness to experience another, nay the most wonderful, part of this game. The best thing you can do is find a good mentor. This may even be the very person who whelps you one day. It was for me.

@ Daemon

Thank you for the kind words. Whining does exactly bubcus for anyone who is upset about the dynamics of a game that offers alternatives and the ability to combat the problems people claim ruin the game. It isn't as though PVPers\Pirates\Gankers can't be shot. I get it. If a guy who forgets about Hulkageddon gets the way this thing works, anyone should. If anything I've ever played mimics the cruelty and open endedness of the real world, its Eve. Adapt or die and don't fly that which you can not afford to lose.
