Since when does CCP use the launcher to advertise for corps?

I logged in to see:

"New to PVP? Discover Red VS Blue"

Or are they not talking about the corp?

And, isn't sanity really just a one-trick pony anyway? I mean all you get is one trick, rational thinking, but when you're good and crazy, oooh, oooh, oooh, the sky is the limit.

so instead of clicking on it to find out, you decided to just make an inflammatory post in GD Roll

no, the are surely not talking about a certain corporation.

What will your next question be, if you see "large colideable object" in ingame overview, compared to Large Collidable Object

Why not? RvB is a good place to learn about the PvP side of Eve, it's cheap, cheerful and accessible. Albeit PvP with rules and restrictions.

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

R v B is more of a play style than the Corps that make the sides.

So no, they are not advertising Corps, they are advertising play styles, in my opinion.

They use to usually around AT time. Also I've seen ads for Eve Uni so yeah. Also RvB really isn't the same as other corporations, so if your thinking favoritism its a bit different.

I always thought the corps were the ones who pay isk to advertise in EON.

I don't see the problem. They are pointing players to corporations that provide a service to the game. EVE-Uni spends its time training people in the basic and advanced applications of EVE, and RvB provide a source of on-demand limited PvP. These are both things which lead to a more thorough enjoyment of the game, which in turn means more players sticking around for longer, which means more money for CCP.

On the other hand, if they were saying "Corp Y has decced Corp X! Go and join in on the slaughter!", that would be crossing the line.

I think it would be more of an issue if it actually cost isk to advertise your corp in game. As it is, advertising your corp in game or on forums is effectively free.

Having R V B in a splash at log in? No biggie to me.

Edit: cause evidently spelling is an issue right now.

I wasn't aware of such an posibility.
I tried to look it up, but i found no offered "service" to do so.

If this is really true, them i did mischief to Antisocial Malkavian and have to say "sorry", although he can't read me anymore.

Usually a game company does not favour a player or player corporation or any other player group. But if advertisement can be bought, this is somehow different, and then in fact it could be mixed up.

Advertising corporations that get players out of high sec is a great idea.

Obviously, GSF can't/won't advertise but I really think this is an area where other alliances should step up. (Especially the ones that hate us, I want astonishingly large fleet fights and I want them now X)

I wouldn't mind getting an ad for my Hulkageddon Mining Permits on the launcher.

Yes please, preferably some folks that won't run from us when we form a defense fleet.

Dunno the lack of ability to seperate in game from out of game we've seen recently and in the past makes me feel funny about close CCP-corp connections

What about the post was inflammatory? Oh, you were using the forums to advertise for illiteracy.
