Hey guys,
I've been an uber carebear for about close to a year in this game. My account lapses this month so I thought I'd go to lowsec.

This is what happened.

I was roaming around in low for quite a bit. It was perhaps really noobish of me to attack the guy next to a gate. I lost my ship too,but I got the kill. Big smile

This is the loss.

I've read on forums about people who have varying opinions on lowsec. Some call it terrifying and some love the combat. Well, I can tell you that my hands were shaking as I warped off in my pod and I thought I was going to have a heart attack. But it felt awesome and I would do it again! Nothing from the PvE content even closely compares to the thrill of PvP. I have a few more days on my account and I'm gonna make them count.

I guess I finally get what Eve is all about!

I remember my first time, sweaty palms, adrenaline rush, and forgot to tackle. That is normal, keep at it and soon you will be rewarded with steady hands and knowledge of game mechanics that will allow you to survive long enough to take your foes to the grave. Trust me, once your body count reaches in to 1000's its no different to PvP than shooting rats, at that point you will be a pro.

Firstly you learned about gate guns, you wont do that again so well done!

Secondly your fit is just......terrible!!

Use Neutrons, and for the love of god shield tank it!!

Extender rigs x 2 EM rig x 1
3 magstabs
5 medium drones

700+ DPS

Another cub finally heads out into the wild on his own. Doesn't really feel so bad now does it. Good job on your kill and may many more come your way over time.

Nicely done OP, the adrenalin rush is really something, and totally worth it. Pirate

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

By the way, that looks much like the Thorax build that I've got running except I am pretty sure I have neutrons on it.

With a 1600mm plate in the lows? I find that very difficult to believe. Ions maybe, although i doubt that too.

The fitting of the OP is not a bad one. Not full damage potential, but more survivability.

Yup PVP is quite fun, it's a big thrill the first time you get attack. I know with me it was a AHH ****!!!! moment followed by a lot of adrenaline and the whole nine yards. No other game has ever done that to me. After that I lived in low sec early in my eve career for quite awhile as it was quite fun.

And don't underestimate frigates, they provide an endless amount of fun when you fit a bunch of them cheaply and you attack EVERYTHING you see (BS's, command ships etc, theres enough fail fits out there you can take down things you shouldnt if given enough time).

Welcome to Eve. Everyone here is an Evil Sick Sadistic Bastard who is out to get you. Anyone who tells you otherwise is either trying to scam you or use you.

Adrenaline really is the beat drug ever, and its extremely addictive :-) Be careful or you'll get hooked.

LOL. Everyone knows you cannot buy yourself into Goonswarm. You need to be a member of SA Forums and have a sponsor. Good try though. Normally I'd not pee in your scammy cheerios, but since this guys has embraced the dark side I figured I'd throw him a bone here :)

On another note: Nice job, OP! EVE's pve experience is terrible and mindnumbingly boring. The game was built around pvp and that's what it's known for, so good to know there's yet another person learning to enjoy it. If you'd like to fly together sometime lemme know.
