Revising Killmails

While CCP is revising killmails I think it is fair to say that everyone in the fleet should automatically be on any kills someone in that fleet makes. This would solve the following problems.

  • RR/Logi not being able to get on killmails. They can't aggress afterall.
  • Off grid booster alts would show up on mails meaning that many "solo" pvpers will be debunked.
  • No more holding the pod for 200 seconds so that guy who brought the carrier can get on the mail.

Also,

People can focus on the fight with knowledge they are on the killmail, making the game better.
Scouts get on kill mails.

Things are only impossible until they are not.

What about the Indy toon that supplied the ammo?

What about the corpie who loaned his ship to a buddy?

What about the maintenance person who mopped the floor outside the FC's Captain's Quarters??

Fair is fair, damn it!

Troll on, masturbateguy....

My parents keep bugging me that they want to be on my killmails, will that happen now and finally get them off my back?

WoW holds your hand until end game, and gives you a cookie whether you win or lose. EVE not only takes your cookie, but laughs at you for bringing one in the first place...

Not enough attention as a kid is my best guess.

I think it should be tied to anyone involved in the kill..

If you provide RR to a killing party, you get on the KM.
If you provide boosts to a killing party, you get on the KM.

If you are just in fleet, doing nothing. You get nothing.

Even state in the KM what they did [ Remote Armor Rep.. Shield Transfer.. Leadership Boots, Skirmish Warfare Link.. ]

Anyone involved gets credit.. anyone who just happened to be there gets **** all. They didn't do anything, they don't get anything.. But I do think the Logi and the Boosters deserve their credit, as they are providing to the battle.

Whatever.

Just make it so that when you get killed by concord there's a nice big "Look at me. I'm a loser" killmail generated.

Mission runners won't care. But damn I look forward to the ganker tears.

I like it. It also means that players that have fleeted backup ready (alts or friends) will not show up as solo, which they ofc are not.

Actually a pretty thoughtful request, and I'd agree that anyone doing anything active in a fleet should be listed on the kill report as supporter or similar, anything that affects a fleet member by module should get listed - even cyno alts providing the cyno.

Would be pretty cool to see how much shield/energy/armor was transferred by the support guy listed on the mail too, just as it shows damage dealt.

Only problem with this, is that the kill report only shows the victim and the aggressors - not for example the victim's support, which in the case of RR one wouldn't be able to see how much RR he received unless everything is included in the report - which would make big fleet reports MASSIVE in terms of involved pilots.

But overall a nice idea.

This idea sucks because if enacted I can't kill pods right away in my frigate and whore the mail for myself.

Isn't all this covered by the new battle reports they announced at fanfest?
