I'm a miner and mission runner who, unlike a lot of other miners out there (see C&P for more details) would rather get in on the fun rather than dock up for a month or shed tears as my Orca and Hulk get popped.

My question revolves around this being only my second Hulkageddon. For the first Hulkageddon (last year) I just went about mission running and exploring other things EVE had to offer (like a sane person). I didn't really understand EVE enough to really get involved, knew this, and stayed out of the way as an alternative. This time around I'd like to get involved, and so my question involves the use my main and two alts for ganking.

In general, will three destroyers be able to gank retrievers, covetors, and hulks? Having not seen a gank first-hand, I don't know what usually comprises a fleet out to gank. If not, what would three destroyers typically be able to accomplish, gank wise? On my main I have decent gunnery skills. My two alts don't really have anything worth mentioning for gunnery skills. I trained them specifically for mining and hauling.

It's not like it'll take long to get them some SP in gunnery, so that's not really a problem. I'm mostly trying to gauge what I can and can't really expect to do off the cuff.
