Ok so i'm sure we've all jumped through a wormhole only to find that it has collapsed behind us.

I'm sure some, but not so many, people have expirenced a random teleportation upon jumping through a wormhole that collapses.

But I doubt many of you have expirenced what happend to me today. I was heading back from Amarr with my shiney new ship, jumped into our static from high-sec that was EoL & Verge of Collapse. The hole collapsed and for some reason a weird yellow circle appeared in the middle of my screen.
After my cloak ran out I suddenly found myself moving over 300,000,000 M/S, at which point I realised that I had been teleported inside the Sun.

Here's a screen shot I took :S

I've had it happen when i jumped back from a c1 into k-space, bounced me into a gate. Very odd mechanic.

That's pretty funny. I got randomly teleported once--I exited my C4 into the C2 static and instead appeared next to the B274 to high. Completely bypassed an entire system.

I once had a haunted Thanatos like that in my POS, left floating from an old member of the corp. No one else could pilot it, so it just hung in the forcefield.

When my corp joined a new alliance (i.e. began our own), I spent half a hour bumping it just outside the force field in preparation for the change-over, so it wouldn't get catapulted into deep space after downtime. After downtime, however...it was back in its old spot, as if it had never left.

"Christine" took on a life of her own and started taking day trips after that. Sometimes I'd find it a few grids over, coasting at 3k/s and enjoying the scenery. But every day at downtime, it'd be exactly in the same spot in the FF where it had floated for months before. I never changed the POS password, so I'm not really sure on what days the database decided it was due for a Sunday drive, or why it'd return with a new coat of polish.

Eventually I got a friend who could pilot Thannies to store it in an SMA and tame its wayward ways. Later, when we sold the system, we handed the keys over to the new tenants.

I sometimes wonder how the new residents are fairing with the spirited vehicle, and if they ever find its engine inexplicably idling late at night.

You are placed under arrest for violating the law... of physics.

On a side note the role players in the AJ thing had a research project to see how this worked for different stars. Getting that BM inside the star is kind of hard, but can be done.

My guess: An unpiloted ship, at downtime, is always re-spawned within a 2 km sphere of the location where it was abandoned. Sometimes that puts it inside a POS structure resulting in the thanny being ejected. We had a similar Thanny. The guy building it stopped playing just as it was about to be completed. The rest of us finished it, delivered it, then wondered what to do next as none of us could fly it. It sat in the field for about 3 months until I trained up to it. Every day it was in a slightly different spot. But it happened to be far enough away from all POS structures that it never was inside one.

Our Thanny was a good 8km+ from any structure. Here's a pic:

And it always reappeared in EXACTLY the same spot and alignment, without variation. We guessed that the database kept reverting to an older set of numbers about where the carrier should be located.

Haven't had it happen in a WH before... but when being titan bridged into a system and the cynoship gets pwned before we "arrive", I have numerous times ended up speeding along from the center of the star, a planet, or a moon. Leads to a great WTF moment when you are wondering why you can't warp and then you notice that you're zooming along a little... fast...

We have a sun bounce in our home system. Sounds like you had a chance to get it easier than what one of our alliancemates did to get ours... If you ever do happen to get a sun bounce BM, or managed to BM that one, warp a Dread to it and SEIGE GREEN on landing. You will come out of SEIGE well before you stop and it is pretty fun.

Unfortunately it wasn't in our home system, it also took my quite some time to realise exactly what had transpired lol.
