1,000m would mean 1B isk. 1000 million = 1000 * 1,000,000 = 1,000,000,000 isk = 1B

You might also see 1,000kk or "whatever"kk where kk is synonymous with million as kk stands for thousand-thousand.

Hope that helps.

Nope. 'm' is milli. 1,000m isk = 1 isk. 'M' is millions. 1,000M isk = 1 billion isk. Big smile Then there's the whole 'M' versus 'MM' thing.

Then there's the whole "american billion" vs. "european billion". In my school they taught me 10E9 is called miliard and billion is 10E12.

The numeracy scale seems very odd to me.

Mi-llion - kk - k2
Bi-llion - *** - k3
Tri-llion - kkkk - k4
Quad-rillion - kkkkk - k5
.
.
.
[n]-illion - k[n+1]

What gives? seems like we got bumped up a 10^3 somewhere along the line
