Will this week be less of a clusterfuck, both on the part of CCP with the probably-predictable grid-hopping issue, and the players that planned to land smartbombing carriers on the POS bash?
AKA, will the testing patch have had a sanity check, and are previous MT abusers banned from Sisi? Most people have better things to do than be stuck on grid with retards.

The teleporting issues and the high amount of crashes should be fixed now.
Rule breakers, smartbombs: I'll look into this a bit more - maybe we can enforce this in some better way.

Thanks for the prompt response.

The key is process iteration rather than 1-time efforts, as you hint to for the disruptors. As you've said before, the free manhours of testing right after an Sisi or TQ update is huge, so ensuring MT builds are working should be given somewhat higher priority than appears to have been the case.

Also, iirc Eve Voice wasn't working.

This. Also, Eve Voice never works for more than a few players.

I have a solution for people that abuse the masstesting to do thigns they would never do on TQ: disconnect them, then perma-ban. There is no place for asshattery during a masstest. It is literally interfering with the actions of CCP employees in the performance of their duties.

At any other time, have at it.

when i read about the testing i was all gung ho about it,
was a front page info from the login screen,
and i get some reward as well double cool,

buutt,,,

the skill points only work for this test server ?
whats the point in that,
i thought the entire point of eve, was to have ONE server,

thats like giving me money as a gift card that only works at a flower shop.

who the hell cares if i have a billion dollars that are only good in a flower shop in Antarctica where only 4 people live?

ps, thats 12 noon tomorrow for me here in CA usa rite ?

also, every item on the test servers only cost 100 isk, great of you want to play with some costly ships

which leads me to one more thing,,, if everything is free, why do we still need sp ??
youd let me buy a titan for 100 isk, but i still cant fly the thing..... that hurts.....

still uses SP on sisi for blanceing so everyone not in mother ships laging the server out, CCP needs to test more then just caps.

for a titan you can buy the parts needed for 100 isk each then just slot it into to something and ask CCP to finsh it for you.

and final the bonus SP lets me test in a dread when normaily i would not get to be able to

Would it KILL CCP to run the test on a weekend? or even late on a Friday?

This the Mass testing, what the hell constructive input would be dependant on the tester's locality for a mass test? Assuming CCP are getting the attendance numbers they need, why would they care about geographic distribution?

This isn't balancing testing, shut up.

Also, you assume all people work a 9-5 and that your collection of countries on a specific continent are completely unable to participate. You are wrong.

We had mass test on Saturdays and Fridays before and we will have them again, if there is a good reason for it. I assume that you can understand, that it is more difficult to ask other Devs to come in during a weekend than to stay a bit longer on a working day.

Regarding time: I don't think that any of my colleagues here in Reykjavik are interested to have a mass test in the late evening. 20:00 UTC is about the latest realistic start time for a mass test. Sorry.

Player numbers: Thursday 20:00 resulted in the best player participation so far, but Saturday evening is also very good.

Mate, give me a job and I'll be more than happy to work some overtime. I'm not afraid of a bit of graft Lol

The Gaming MoD - retro to modern, console to MMO, I blog about it if it's a game and I'm interested in it. Yes, I play games other than Eve and I don't care if you think I'm wrong.

I hear your comment, and I understand. Still, you are conducting tests without North and South American Players who WORK for a living"

By the way, I am a Release Manager at a...flippin-large... company. we conduct monthly "Go-Live" events... I attend/manage each one. They begin at 1800EST, and end at 0500EST, so I know the pain.... But it is part of the job, is it not?

CCP, there seems to be an issue with the current Sisi client or server, I'm having a lot of Sisi-specific connection issues. Any idea if this will be looked at/fixed before the MT tomorrow?

Just was POS bashing on Sisi checking out the new missiles before I noticed that CCP were planning a mass test on it. only 2 problems I found was that with a single Phoenix firing you would get a little lag when all the missiles hit and also if it was too close to the target a few would come right back around and hit the Phoenix.

Quick question: I participated in the mass test on the 10th of May and haven't gotten any skill points. Who should I ask about that?

Ok, since I've got no reply in the other forums, I'm asking here:

What sense does it make to not put out unlimited skillpoints on a testserver, playing with the skills, figuring out what cool ship I could skill for as next?

Players with changed skillpoints could even be banned in other systems, so they couldn't grief 'regular' trainings in the usual system.

It seems to me like a car manufacturer asking you to testdrive his car, but you have to maintain your extra driving license to do this favour to him (this referring to the masstests).
