Will Fedex try to deliver a VGA-card twice?

Today I came home from work to a note of Fedex trying to deliver a package. Since I'm only expecting a Eve-VGA card, that must be it. Unfortunately I hadn't received a notification of CCP/Nvidia that a package was en-route so I can't be 100% sure.

The note says: "We tried to deliver a shipment of 1 pieces at 10:53 on 07MAY12. Last Delivery Attempt, package will be returned to send. Please call 0800 0222 333" + trackingnumber.
Of course the helpdesk was already closed when I tried to call so I'll have to wait till tomorrow-morning.

Does anyone know if Fedex in the Netherlands will attempt a second/third time? Otherwise this card had missed it's final destination by 10 meters before being send back to California.

Not sure about the Netherlands but considering it is FEDEX I seriously doubt it will be sent back.

Fedex standard procedure is to hold it for a week before doing anything.
Call them in the morning, they will have already set it up for a second try or will tell you where you can go to pick it up.

Don't sweat it, you will get your card Big smile

Sometimes they deliver it to a neighbor in which case your card is probably MIA.

Call them as soon as possible tommorrow and arrange a suitable delivery time, not only to ensure you have your card delivered, but also to look like a good customer and not have it sent back by surly delivery guys. Also they should be able to arrange a delivery to your place of work (should you be employed), which will probably work out best for all involved.

Not unless they have a specially equipped Delorean and you are living in 1990.

Having worked for FedEx... at least I always had to attempt delivery 3 times before returning it to the compound for further processing/return. However you will always be able to pick it up from their place before it's returned as it will remain there for a while before sent back.

Thanks guys for the replies. I'll call in the morning. They already closed down the helpdesk when I called them at 2030.
Good to know that they will try a couple of times, so that text on the note is probably standard-text to get people to call quickly :)

FedEx policy is to make three delivery attempts. I work closely with both FedEx and UPS and they both have the same policy regarding delivery. After three attempts, the package is returned to shipper.

yeah, FedEx is pretty good at delivering packages, however their drivers seem to be pretty terrible at filling out multiple choice missed-delivery cards

If it's in your hands, what are you using to type on the keyboard with?

You don't want to know, but it ain't my toes....

Unfortunately my PSU isn't compatible with the power-demands of the cards. For those who have ordered a card as well: PSU needs to deliver 450W with 24A on the 12V rails.

FedEx can't be trusted.

I'm still waiting for the delivery of my official, 100% legal ATM card with 23 million dollars loaded on it from the Nigerian government.

Since my $1200.00 was accepted by the official government office sent via Western Union, I know it has to be a problem with FedEx.

I know what you mean. I'm still waiting for my girlfriend to get here from Africa. Met her on a dating site (not in person yet) she's from vermont. I payed $5000 dollars to get her back into the states 6 months ago, I'm pretty sure it's the damn airlines fault she is delayed.

I recall one night in a nightclub called the matrix, there I was... Mother of god there I am! Holy f**k.
