What would be the best T3 fitting for covert ops wormhole sneaky longish range ganking small to medium ships.

I can fly Tengus and Lokis mostly.

Arty Loki could probably do ok if you're looking for alpha. Or maybe a blaster gank Proteus for raw DPS. But any cloaky T3 subsystem will have gimped DPS.

I know, but which one would be crippled the least :)

I would say the proteus is crippled the least. It is the only covert sub with a damage bonus.

The Tengu and Loki I would say are second. no damage bonus but ROF bonus

Legion just gets a cap use bonus for the covert sub.

Cloakie proteus will do upwards of 500 dps, with my expensive fit and implants mine does 640 dps. If you want to fit it for just fighting you wouldn't have a probe launcher so you would need an alt for that. I don't know much about other t3s.

I got a tengu and loki, testing a loki currently in Wspace.

Got any decent fits for them for this purpose?

I only fly a covert Proteus for this role, so I dunno about Tengu and Loki. I have a buddy who tags along with his cloaky neut legion.

I wouldn't take a thread from leader of the hulkageddon bashing corp seriously, because in fact the OP is probably not serious to begin with unless it involves blowing up a crappy ship that has the option of crap fit or crappier fit after OP has said the pilot needs to fit tank Roll

I could never get myself to train Gallantee or Amarr seriously, probably because of the sour taste of only having 2 damage types available.

Then again in W-space people will be omni tanking so probably not an issue.

that omni tanking tengu your gunna shoot has 70% em 70% explosive and 92% thermal and 90% Kinetic. Id hardly call shooting hybrid charges at that just as effective as scorch or barrage

That's why I will focus on smaller frig, cruiser, battlecruiser size ships and not other T3's :)

Preferably alpha :)

I have a web / armour / cloaky / art 720 Loki I am currently using. I swapped to the artys because I couldn't get a decent falloff with 425's. Makes more sense to use the web bonus and alpha them instead. Worked nicely against a Talos I killed he other week. I haven't tried hitting anything with the dual webs off, but I assume it will be a bad so recommend this fit.

I got him into 75% armour and the next alpha popped him. He did hit me hard but the Loki resists are epic.

You can build some fun cloaky, scany kiting boats out of Tengus if you fly them properly. DPS is anemic as hell though.

The Myrmidion has fully selectable damage without giving up a single hull bonus.
Fit it with drones to deal the damage you want, and projectiles.
The Domi, Ishkur, Ishtar also give you an ability to select damage types through use of drones - although they do have bonuses for hybrids...
The Amarr have the Arbitrator and its T2 derivatives, fully selectable damage types.
Many Amarr T2 ships are close range missile boats (ex Vengeance).

The Amarr aren't nealy as limited as you imply, and the Gallente have some options as well.
