'Ello.

Does anyone have any positive experience with setting up an OOG corp forum [or indeed any forum], using an all-in-one service such as freeforums / proboard / invisionfree / forumotion, etc?

I'm looking for something free, easy to set up & manage and without too many pay-to-block ads cluttering things up. Any advice would be gratefully received, ty.

I've used freeweb.com in the past for several of my guild pages. It takes you through a step by step process in setting up your webpage and most option that you would be looking for simply require a click. Gotta admit though that their options on backgrounds are generally limited and I never did get around to figuring out how to implement my own.

I've got adblock on my pc but I remember there being a small ad right on the front page and I think that was about it.

Here is my old AOC page if you want to peruse it.

CCP forum has the added benefit of more security...

If you do things right, people won't be sure you've done anything at all...

enjin.com is decent in my experience, if you need hosting.

Guildportal is very flexible, and has a number of features that are quite handy (calendar, item lists, that kind of thing).

oops misread

And, isn't sanity really just a one-trick pony anyway? I mean all you get is one trick, rational thinking, but when you're good and crazy, oooh, oooh, oooh, the sky is the limit.
