I have never seen a forum community direct so much hate toward a simple game mechanic, ever. Kinda surprised people aren't whining about other people who do missions, as well. Or maybe people who login for 10 minutes every day to update their PI.

All stick, no carrot. Even though they are trapped, they have no reason to mine for you.

Why not turn the venture into something more rewarding for all involved? Put up those buy orders for reasonable prices... and use all those gate-camping combat ships to keep hostiles out...rather than the miners in.

The miners will WANT to mine, especially given the chance to chew on low sec ores without fear of pirates or gankers. They'll pull in more ore, which they'll sell to you. You'll get more minerals in the long way that way.

In the cat-and-mouse game that is low sec, there is no shame in learning to be a better mouse.

The best part of this whole thread was Eve being about freedom not slavery....

CCP wont act on something like that. Mainly because they will never have to.

I like the plan - Its evil and would fill up a small lake of tears if succesful - Unfortunatly it will never work...

1) To get a pipe like that you would need to take some sov that I guarantee is already spoken for and not given up easily. That leaves joining an established alliance (or rent). That in turn would mean that alot of people would know or figure out your operation. Dont really think there is alot of big null entities that would like the reputation as slave-owners either. Well..maybe the russians idk

2) Your gatecamp would be the most chrashed camp since 1945. Half of the good-minded people in null would try and save the poor miners and just as many evil bastard (like me) would go there for the tears and pewpew.

3) The miners would quit, or be soaked up into other alliances that would go and get them out.

In the end, the only real loser (isk wise) would be you.

I do applaude you for the evilness of your plan, I'll buy you a drink in hell

Ya know, the easiest solution is to just get everybody to whinemoarOops at CCP and nerf the miner into oblivion, if not down right removing them. Hell, threaten to quit to cancel your accout and get CCP to remove miners....it worked once before Roll last year. Think we can get CCP to reduce Hulk hitpoits by 20%, remove its drones, and reduce the tracking from zero on stripminers to some god awfully low negitive number even though stripper beams don't use tracking. Miners are obviously a problem everyone (but themselves) that want gone and with great numbers comes great power to do something about them Roll

wait why do people hate miners again?

also if it's high sec, which i'm assuming this idea is vs carebears, just leave the corp lol. could npc corp it up for a while and mine there. if the miner is attacked leaving your system he's traded literally 0 isk vs your combat pilots + you lose security standings with concord (might not care i guess)

if it's in a NPC station of any kind with a medical station, leave corp -> set respawn clone in high sec

if it's null sec... that would be awful. though what happens if you have a jump clone in some sort of corp that you end up leaving? can't imagine you can continually respawn in a corp's assets you aren't in anymore (whatever has a jump clone idk)

For 100M each I'll sneak a covops in and scan a WH exit for any miner who can pay.

I beat him to it actually but I was a tad bit more stealthy about it.

This is an elaborate plan me and some random dude concocted that if CCP stayed true to non-intervention, speil. would be one of the most diabolical ever implemented. This will be in listed step format as any other method would be impossible for me to convey.

Steps:
1. Attain constellation with a deep dead-end structure with a station at the dead-end(This station will need lots of belts).
2. Clear the market of any combat module/ship in that station, including blueprints.
3. Open a Corp that is +5 to the alliance holding the station.
4. Set Station so +6 or higher is needed to access the medical facility.
5. ****-cage the only gate of the dead-end system 300+km in each direction.
6. Set up extremely cheap buy-orders for minerals in the station.
7. Recruit miners into the alliance and walk them through setting their clone at the dead-end system(Offer them awesome incentives if needed).
8. Once they are in the system, give them a mining ship, kick them from the alliance corp, and invite them to the +5 corp.
9. Place combat ships on the exit gate killing any miners that try to escape, sending them back to the station.
10. Profit off the effort of your seriously under-paid slave-miners.

11. If morale becomes an issue. seed the market with really cheap core probe equipment/skillbooks, but VERY expensive probes (Think 4-5 bil per probe)

12. If you system runs out of roids, ****-cage the gate in the next system and let your miners spread their legs into the second system(This can be used as a motivational tool).

13. Win EVE

Are you that frightened of fighting a miner that you don't even want them to have access to combat ships and modules? What a wimp.

Hulkaggedon on a bi-monthly basis :)

Or hell if you want noone to ever mine and/or them to leave the game entirely why stop Hulkageddon? Dont Goons have all but unlimited Moon Goo funds anyways? So much in fact even they seem go approve of a Moon Goo nerf or removal.

Because null sec is apparently THAT BORING. Notice how when theres massive war and strife going on in null theire not busying themselves murdering miners in null cause theyre worried about losing their **** in null.

Mining is the "Deadliest Catch" in this game
