Be unique, create an angle.

People identify scams by assigning a type to it, the more you obfuscate (or, shock, border on originality) the less likely you are to trip an alarm with the victim.

For instance, call your scheme "Pyramid investments" and no one will bite. Call it something unique and describe the scheme in a linear (instead of the oft seen vertical) fashion and you'll get a lot more interest.
