I moved out to an outpost in nullsec recently which has a 40% base refine. My mining alt has Refining V, Refinery Efficiency V, and all ore-specfic skills to IV. I'm getting a 89.5% yield. I went looking for the equation to see if training the ore specific skills to level V would help much and I was shocked to find that I should be getting 99.4% yield!

Are these sites incorrect or did Eve break recently?

Hey Turk,

did you really receive only 89.5% yield when refining, or did you simply look at the % indicated in the top right corner of the refinery tab?

This percentage does not reflect the specialized processing skills; this is why even when a refinery shows less than 100% you can still have values of zero in the "unrecoverable" section.

I just looked at the UI. Now that you mention it I knew this at one time. Been a long time since I've refined in a station. :)

Next time I refine I'll calculate what my actual yield was.
